06.01.2022 COVID-19 Safety for Tennis Hi Everyone With the Governments ban on mass gatherings of more than 500 people, Tennis Australia has issued a response to ban all tennis events, (tournaments, fixtures etc)... This ban DOES NOT extend to coaching or in-house events that meet the governments guidelines Elite Tennis International have implemented, to all our staff, safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the continued safe delivery of all our tennis activities, at all our venues We take great responsibility in the safety of all our students and their families Below are a few things that you can all help with 1. If your child is sick; keep them at home. Simply call the shop to let us know you cant make the lesson and you will receive a make-up lesson credit 2. Follow all instructions given by the coach in regards to student interactions.. please make sure you child is aware of this 3, Avoid physical contact with the coaches and other students as much as possible 4. Wash you hands regularly (as per medical advice in general) 5. Do not share drink bottles with anyone The reports are that Covid-19 cannot survive in direct sunlight and above 26 degrees... so looks like tennis is a great option We look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality tennis sessions in a safe and fun environment for everyone All lessons, squads, hitting sessions, Red, Orange, Green, and Yellow Comps and Hot Shots Challenge (next weekend), are as per regular schedule here with ETI All Adult Social, Singles Comps and FAST4 are on as usual Regards ETI Directors Matt Deverson & Michael Poulos

05.01.2022 From Monday 18th May 2020 11am we will be reopening the Sunshine Coast Tennis Centre - Caloundra All court hire , coaching, squads, hitting sessions, hot shots, cardio and social tennis will resume ( *with social distancing in place and TQ guidelines in place ) We look forward to having everyone back playing at the centre with access to our brand new clubhouse and pro shop Unfortunately during stage 1 reopening there is NO organised comps allowed under the TQ guidelines. W...e wont see comps resume until stage 2 easing of restrictions. This means Ups and downs, Tuesday singles, red orange green or yellow comps, or our famous Fast4 comps , are unable to come back until further notice However all other usage is back* along with our amazing new Proshop and brand new Coffee Machine making fresh real coffees to enjoy while at the centre See everyone back from Monday 11am See more

04.01.2022 Thursday 27th Feb All tennis lessons, squads, hitting sessions, physical training sessions, permanent court hires, and Fast4 Div 1 & 2 have been cancelled due to the constant storm activity over Caloundra

04.01.2022 Hi everyone At this current point in time we have not received any more news about opening the centre; therefore effective immediately we will remain closed until further notice. There will be no play prior to 3pm on any day as we work on finding out where everything is at for the day and update information by 12pm each day... This means no coaching / training / squads / or hitting sessions; no social tennis and no court hire until we know more. We hope to hear more soon and will send another update as soon as we know more. All lessons at the centre are off until further notice. We will stay in contact as much as possible. This sign will be posted on the front entry doors of the pro-shop entry and if this is still here we are still closed. 10 people on site max. is an unrealistic number here, with construction workers and staff leaving no space for anyone to play. In fairness to everyone we will not be opening until these restrictions reach a level that works for everyone. We are waiting on TQs outcomes with state government and are hopeful that it wont be too long until we can all get back on court Regards Matt & Michael Please see the email we received from TQ below... this is all we have at this point in time URGENT UPDATE | Change to the 10 per court rule Dear affiliates, On Friday night, the Queensland Government released a roadmap to easing restrictions, and these were communicated immediately with everyone. Today, without any consultation with us, we received confirmation from the Queensland Government that the gatherings restriction has been updated and tightened, effective immediately. Please note this change restricts any tennis venue from having more than 10 people on site (including indoor and outdoor spaces) at one time. The changes can be read in the governments updated FAQs document, which explicitly references tennis venues. We have updated our Return to Play Roadmap, outlining how these restrictions need to be applied. Tennis Queensland has a responsibility to inform you of this latest health advice from the Queensland Government, you are required to abide by the public health orders, ensuring the protection of the community. Tennis Queensland is here to help you work through these changes, and understand the inconvenience this change will cause in the short term. We would like to reiterate this change is beyond our control. Today we submitted a request for an exemption for tennis, and we will continue to work closely with the Queensland Government over the coming days. We will update you immediately of any changes. Regards, Warwick Nicol Tennis Queensland President Mark Handley Tennis Queensland CEO
