17.01.2022 Bali Mt Agung Update After months of 'threatening', Mt Agung in Bali began erupting yesterday. At this time:... The eruption is deemed 'small'. An ash cloud from the volcano has reached about 700m above ground. The current evacuation / exclusion zone around the volcano has not changed. There is currently no impact on flights and the airport (Ngurah Rai International Airport) in Denpasar is open and operating as normal. The airlines are monitoring the situation and flights are scheduled to operate as normal until further notice.

15.01.2022 Jetstar update / advice Flying conditions around Denpasar Airport continue to be affected by the ash cloud from the Mount Agung volcano. As a result, it is currently not safe to resume flights in and out of Bali. Our senior pilots are constantly monitoring the flying conditions, and are making daily assessments with the latest information and forecasts from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre.... While these disruptions are frustrating, we will always put safety before schedule. We appreciate your patience and assure you that we are doing all we can to get you moving as quickly as possible once it is safe to fly. We have a range of options for those who have been impacted by flight cancellations, including the option to fly to an alternative international destination, including Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket and Fiji.
