25.01.2022 Hello all! Just wanted to let everyone know that, although we had to cancel this weekend’s Eucalytpus Day festivities, we are still open for business tomorrow until Sunday. Obviously things are changing rapidly and we will keep you informed of any further developments. Have a safe and happy weekend and maybe we will see you at the museum for a coffee or if you need some eucalyptus.

23.01.2022 Due to the recent State of Emergency Declaration, the difficult decision has been made to cancel our scheduled Eucalyptus Day Festivities. We are so sorry for the late notice. We are currently reviewing opening hours for the museum and will update everybody as soon as possible. Stay safe everyone.

22.01.2022 Hi folks Due to a staff absence at the museum we have needed to temporarily reduce our opening hours. We are still open 4 days a week, Thursday - Sunday 10am-4pm and we hope to see you soon! Kind Regards, Eucy Museum

20.01.2022 We are on Trip Advisor! If you've been to visit, we'd love you to add your review.

18.01.2022 It's hard to believe but eucalyptus distilleries once dominated the Victorian landscape... Bosisto's owned several, including at Emerald, Menzie's Creek and Maccelsfield, and this one, Antwerp Station on the Wimmera River near Dimboola. Today, few are left standing but you can see an amazing example - Old Jones' Distillery - on the site of the Eucalyptus Distilery Museum.

16.01.2022 Did you know you can actually see the oil in a eucalyptus leaf if you hold it up to a bright light? The tiny yellow dots are the oil sacs, and the lines are the leaf's veins. Blue Mallees, native to the Inglewood region, produce a strong, aromatic, medicinal oil that's useful for many health and household purposes. Find out more fascinating eucalypt facts at the Museum, open Thurs-Sunday 10am-4pm.... @eucalyptaus

16.01.2022 It's a beautiful day! Perfect for a visit to the Eucy Museum. Hope to see you soon...

11.01.2022 We're used to dangerous medicines being hard to get these days, but that wasn't always the case. In the mid 1800's poisons like arsenic and strychnine were relatively freely sold and often used by criminals - notably for murder. There were many tragic poisoning and suicide cases which also highlighted the need to better regulate and protect the trade of pharmacy. Joseph Bosisto, founder of Bosisto's Eucalyptus Oil, was not only a pioneer of the eucalyptus oil industry... in the 1850's, but also a prominent pharmacy activist. He advocated for (and virtually drafted) Australia's very first 'Pharmacy Bill' which regulated use and sale of dangerous drugs. This bill established the Pharmacy Act of 1876, which led to the formation of the Pharmacy Board of Victoria. Bosisto was its first president in 1877, and became an honorary member of the Medical Society of Victoria in 1878. Another fascinating tidbit of eucalyptus history Find out much more at the Eucy Museum, open Thurs - Tuesday 10am-4pm. 08.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we will be closing the Eucy Distillery Museum indefinitely, in accordance with the latest government guidelines. We thank all of you who have visited and supported us, and we wish our community all the best in the coming challenging times.

07.01.2022 Due to staff absence we'll be closed this week on our usual business days, Thursday 5th - Sunday 8th. Re-opening next Thursday 12th March.
