16.01.2022 RESERVE GRADE MATCH REPORT Dragons vs Barbarians On Saturday our Eumundi Dragons reserve grade players once again travelled to Caboolture but this week they took on the might of the University Barbarians team.... In a hard fought match our forwards really squared up in defence and heaps of tackles set the Uni team back on their heels to continually regroup. The first try scorer was Sam Fuller with a good 10m run after the forwards kept possession through a number of solid phases . At the end of the first half Lachlan Proctor was awarded a penalty try after being hit with a high tackle as he was about to cross the try line. At the end of the match the Barbarians team ran out winners 38-12 over their northern rivals but left Caboolture with a well earned respect for the newly formed team from Eumundi. Next week the Eumundi Dragons travel to Caloundra to take on the Maroochydore Swans reserve grade team. GO THE DRAGONS !!!

13.01.2022 Keep them excited about rugby over the summer holidays. Rookies 2 Reds school holiday clinic at Flinders JRUC.

12.01.2022 Dragons vs Snakes Last Saturday our Eumundi Dragons reserve grade team travelled to Kevin Kaeser Park in Morayfield to take on the might of the Caboolture Snakes Rugby Union team. This was the second match for our team this year with the previous one being played at home on the 14th March , before the COVID-19 lockdowns.... Our team , which comprised quite a few players who are new to our club , started well with an early lead of 3 points to nil thanks to a well directed penalty kick from Pete Sims. In an exciting and hard fought match the Caboolture outfit finished the match as 27-6 winners . Certainly a respectable scoreline. Our Dragon’s players can be proud of the way they played against a team that has been together for quite a few seasons. For many of our players this is the first season of Rugby with quite a few of them previously involved in Rugby League or AFL. With a few more training sessions and matches under their belts the boys from Eumundi , ably captained and coached by Dan Cooper , will be a real force to be reckoned with in Sunshine Coast Rugby competitions. Thanks also to team manager , Blair Fuller , who continues to do a great job dealing with all the Rugby Australia and SCRU paperwork , entering team sheets and results and making sure that all players are well looked after . Next Saturday the Eumundi Dragons take on the Uni Barbarians . Look out Uni !! GO THE DRAGONS !!

08.01.2022 Pouring rain couldn’t dampen the rugby spirit which was alive and well last weekend on the fields and in the canteen at the Eumundi Dragons Rugby Union Club home on Black Stump road.

07.01.2022 Well done to Max in the U11s who scored himself some sweet gear from Sportspower Noosa. Max recruited a couple of new players and therefore scores himself $100 to spend in the store! If you want to be like Max, bring along a mate to training and we will get them signed up!

01.01.2022 CLASH OF THE DRAGONS AND THE DOLPHINS On Saturday 22nd August the Eumundi Dragons Reserve Grade Rugby Union team took on the might of the top of the table Noosa Dolphins at the University fields in Chancellor Park. The game started well for the Eumundi team with Max Moise crossing the try line for a well deserved try. This set the Dolphins team back on their heels and forced them to regroup before a good sized crowd of supporters from the two clubs.... As the game unfolded the depth of experience in the Noosa outfit began to show . By the end of the game the Dolphins ran out winners 69-5 but had to work hard for all of these points. The players from Eumundi did not throw in the towel and remained full of spirit right to the full time whistle. In a show of good sportsmanship coaching staff and officials from the Noosa club congratulated the Eumundi team for putting up such a good performance after only coming together a couple of months ago. GO THE DRAGONS !!
