10.01.2022 Eureka Music Studios was founded in 2015 in Ballarat, Victoria by Elena Polevaya; an opera singer, recording artist, pianist, cellist, and teacher. The graduate of Russian Music Academy in Moscow, Elena performed as a soprano soloist in finest venues in Melbourne (such as Hamer Hall,Melba Hall, National Theatre, Atheneum Theatre and the National Gallery of Victoria, among others) and taught for over 27 years overseas and in Australia, in primary and secondary schools, specia...lised schools of music and privately. As a singer, Elena appeared on Channel 7's program "Talking telephone numbers" in late 1990s. Among her past workplaces - Victoria State Opera, Melbourne City Opera (principal soprano with 7 major roles created in 2002-2005) and Music Works Magic studio in Elsternwick (as a piano instructor). In an artistic partnership with pianist and composer Phillip Gelbach, Elena made numerous appearances in concerts throughout Melbourne, recorded a CD Pastorale, a composition Crack the Matrix featuring Uri Geller (released on iTunes in 2011) and a concert DVD with the SBS producer Kostas Metaxas. As a cellist, Elena appeared with the Stonnington Symphony Orchestra and a Concert band FeatureSet. Elena has been teaching classical voice, piano, cello and music theory to students between ages 5 and 70 at her private studio and in primary and secondary schools in Melbourne and Ballarat area since 1993. Elena also loves accompanying her instrumental students at their exams. She continues performing, most recently with Ballarat Symphony Orchestra, as a soprano soloist for an ANZAC Commemoration concert. Her past vocal students gained various accolades at vocal Eisteddfods, successfully auditioned for music theatre productions and entered tertiary musical institutions, while her instrumental students successfully passed AMEB exams, went on to join musical ensembles, composed music,and continue their love affair with this wonderful art.
