14.01.2022 After a rather unlucky week with a bad knee injury coming back up forcing me to take a break from doing mechanical work I was able to do some long term testing on the KO4-001 powered A3 1.8T daily driver . With a new modified tune to suit standard injectors and a 4 bar FPR we were able to finally crack that elusive 1000km to a tank mark quite comfortably during a long drive from the workshop put at St Marys up to Armidale and surrounding suburbs before filling up at Tamworth ...on the return journey . There was still more in the tank but with the distance till the next BP petrol station it was decided to fill up at Tamworth BP . This vehicle has been the test bed for new tunes that will be released for the older 1.8T platform and the tune has been constantly tweaked to make it as smooth as possible without loosing fuel economy and maintaining its high torque and power output . 04.01.2022 This beautiful piece of machinery has finally left our workshop. Bittersweet! This MKIV R32 was built in late 2003 to compete in the 2004 Australian GT Performa...nce Car Championship and came 2nd out of 40 competition. We have upgraded various parts of the braking system and done a little bit of work on the engine. This is a truly historic VW racing vehicle in Australia and we cannot wait to see it on the racetrack again. Cheers, Euro Automotive
