23.01.2022 The community are invited to a PROTEST this coming Friday October 2nd : 10:30am at the Batemans Bay Community Centre where speakers will advise that Eurobodalla Council has advised the many community groups and users of the facility to look for other venues as they intend to lease the building (with the potential of selling) at commercial rates to a community agency.

23.01.2022 We are still serving the community! It has certainly been a busy start to the week for Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels. Our hopes of restarting our beloved "Out and About" program in August have been delayed yet again. One positive is having Out and About Coordinators Chelsea and Keith once again assisting with our Meals service. All volunteers in Batemans Bay and Broulee areas have been given two weeks off and meals have gone out to our clients with the help of our people-mover ...over the past few day. If you see them around, give them a wave!! Face masks are our new fashion accessory in all areas, as well as the other procedures we have had in place since the start. Pity you can't see the smiles, but they are there. Our office in Moruya is open, however you will need to knock and the staff will meet you at the door. Where possible please call us on 4474 4464 instead of visiting. Well done to everyone staying home and to all the medical staff who are out conducting tests. See more

22.01.2022 For National Meals on Wheels Day 26 August Mayor Liz Innes, Clr Brown and Clr Tait, joined our fantastic volunteers in Batemans Bay. The Mayor also presented gift vouchers to our volunteers donated by BP.

18.01.2022 Aged Care Worker Day Our thanks for the wonder work of everyone in Aged Care. We particularly thank the staff within Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels for their efforts. For the outstanding work of our volunteers constantly brings a smile to the face of our clients. Well done everyone - keep up the efforts and take those smiles everywhere everyday.

18.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY Out and About! This week we are celebrating "Out and About" turning 14!!!! Although we are not being able to share the day with our clients, Keith and Chelsea had a lot of fun putting together goody bags for the clients that included some birthday treats and activities. Some have gone to Out and About clients this week and more will be sent next week. We have already had a call from a very excited client who received her gifts. It is so great to know we can ...still but smiles on the faces of our clients. We are eagerly looking forward to when we are able to restart our programs. See more

16.01.2022 This year in lieu of our annual Volunteer High Tea we are holding a series of small Morning Teas to thank our volunteers for their efforts over the last year. More of these was held last Week. Volunteers 5 & 10 Year's of Service Awards were handed out. Also, EMoW awards for special services this past year. Thank you to all volunteers who give up their time to help vulnerable people in our community.

15.01.2022 Today, as part of National Volunteers Week, we would like to say an extra big THANK YOU to all our volunteers. Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels would not be the same without you. Our volunteers have needed to be flexible over the last few weeks (months) as we adjusted to working with the new Covid-19 measures. Many volunteers have done their part by staying home for the theirs and our clients health and safety. The volunteers who were able to continue have picked up extra shifts a...nd adjusted to a different and more "socially distance" way of working. But the one constant in it all has been the care and smiles they give to our clients. Here is a snap shot of our volunteers in Batemans Bay ready to deliver meals today, all staying apart. 14.01.2022 We are on the cover! Our Service has featured on the cover of NSW Meals on Wheels magazine - Wintalyka. During the drought we delivered feed to a property and the action of our wonderful Neil have been caught and shared. Through the drought, fires and pandemic we have sought ways to serve our community and especially our clients. Thank you to all volunteers and staff for their efforts.

08.01.2022 75 years ago World War II finished. So much destruction was caused. So many lives lost as a generation showed courage and strength in the battle for freedom. We salute all those who served and especially remember those who gave their lives for us. Today we honour them all and as we fight a new battle let us display the same courage and strength in the against the Covid-19 virus.... RIP our brave soldiers - we have not forgotten you or your sacrifice. See more
