20.01.2022 This customers Landrover spends a lot of time off-road. Unfortunately the factory exhaust doesnt provide enough ground clearance and the result is a crushed exhaust pipe. The best solution was an in-house, custom made, mandrel bent system to improve ground clearance. This also gave us the opportunity to redesign the system to give it better flow characteristics to improve performance and efficiency.

20.01.2022 This Volkswagen Passat was recommended to us by our friends at Powermaxx - Bluechem Australia with a diesel particulate filter light coming on. The ECU had no codes logged, but it was hard to start cold and the warning light would intermittently come on. Using our advanced diagnostic equipment we were able to read the live data from all of the sensors in the engine to deduce the car was running rich ( excessive fuel ) but still within ECU tolerances. We turned our attention to the fuel injectors inside the cylinder head and this photo shows what we found. Heavily worn injector push rods and 2 broken injector spring retainers. More often than not, particulate filters dont just block up beyond the cars ability to regenerate them. Theres always an underlying reason !

12.01.2022 All too often we are finding the over use of silicons on top of rubber gaskets when repairing oil leaks. If the job is completed correctly, silicons are not required at all. Chemicals present in the silicons make the rubber seals harden prematurely and fail leading to the whole job being done again. In this particular situation, the silicon used has also spread into the crankcase breather ports. This prevents engines crankcase from breathing properly leading to a build up of pressure and consequently more oil leaks. Its the old saying " fix it properly, fix it once ! "
