18.01.2022 Italica is a Roman Archaeologcal site about 1/2 hour by 3.20 bus fare, Anne English found a fabulous tour guide Julio on his first tour. Emperor Hadrian about 200BC built the city and ran the whole Roman empire from here . Highly recommended by Anne .

17.01.2022 Julio took Anne to Monasterio De San Isidoro del Campo which is a fortress monastery founded in 1301. It is built in the Mudejar of architecture which is a combination of Gothic and Islamic architecture unique to this part of Spain built by a couple whose most recent descendant was buried there only last year . Sounds like a must see .

12.01.2022 The Alcazar is a royal palace in Seville, built for the Christian king Peter of Castile. It was built by Castilian Christians on the site of an Abbadid Muslim residential fortress destroyed after the Christian conquest of Seville. Make sure you purchase an audio so you can appreciate the layers of history and culture of this exquisite and breathtakingly beautiful Palace and its gardens .

08.01.2022 We stumbled across a little gem at the Santa Cruz area today . Not only does it hold the most tranquil gardens that you can sit in as long as you like . It also houses one of the most ornate church ceilings outside of the Sistine Chapel. The hospital de los Venerables of Seville , is a baroque 17th century building which served as a residence for priests . It also currently houses the Valazques centre, dedicated to the famous painter Diego Valezquez.

03.01.2022 Outside the Cathedral you can hop on to a horse drawn carriage for a 45 minute tour of the old town , taking in most of the important sights and parks . It was the best 40 Euro we have spent.
