25.01.2022 Really enjoyed making this Hello Kitty cake. It was a peppermint chocolate cake with a stabilised cream filling and vanilla buttercream icing. On the top was buttercream flowers. I’ve never tried or made a cake with peppermint or even made buttercream flowers, so it was definitely an exciting experience.

20.01.2022 Something a little different... when you’re away for your birthday and Coles has run out of good birthday cakes then you need to improvise.... I made my birthday cake in an air fryer. It’s a caramel mud cake with cream and berries. I didn’t have a mixer so I had to mix by hand, which probably contributed to the cake not rising as high. I also had to use a plastic freezer bag to pipe out my cream. After some decorating, I think it turned out pretty good... and tasted delicious too

17.01.2022 Made some delicious vanilla and chocolate cupcakes this week. All had fresh strawberry filling with marscopne cream icing. They were absolutely delicious

12.01.2022 My latest creation for my daughters 16th birthday. I was so impressed with myself and could hardly wait to cut the cake open to see the checker board. All the kids were amazed when they saw it too!!

11.01.2022 Massive weekend of cake making... 3 birthdays and 3 cakes. Nicole had a moon cake, my mum had a strawberries and cream cake, and Sarah had a doll cake. Sarah’s cake unfortunately succumbed to the heat and started to come apart (the dress had a blow out), but with some improvisation of strawberries, flowers and leaves it managed to hold together and still look good I am officially caked out
