18.01.2022 Wonderful to be part of this exhibition at Taipei Fine Arts Museum with my whole series from 'A rare bird in the lands'. Island Tales: Taiwan and Australia | TaipeiPerth 2019|11|1 - 2020|03|01... The story of this exhibition began in 1999, when Taipei and Perth, Australia, establish the friendship cities. The sisterhood has officially entered its 20th year this year, prompting TFAM and the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts to come together to organize this exhibition, which serves as a platform for interaction and exchanges, and for the curators to tell stories rooted in local cultures that explore the multiple possibilities created by time and timely meetings. Tales refer to fictional stories, as well as snippets of utterances and moral lessons. As opposed to history, which emphasizes realistic descriptions of the past, tales employ fictional language to interpret and reinterpret stories from the past and various subjects. This process of remémoration forms a bridge between time and locality. The exhibition sets out from a rewriting of history, and recruit 13 artists from Taiwan and West Australia were invited to be part of this journey inspired by the idea of tales. Henceforth begins a sojourn of imagination and exploration between two islands, from two cities, revolving around stories, rumors from the grapevine, records, and even inconsequential and personal memories https://www.tfam.museum/Exhibition/Exhibition_page.aspx

05.01.2022 Very excited to be part of this exhibition with my Raven People. Enigmas of the outback : 29 September 2019 - 9 February 2020 @ Vasse Felix This exhibition presents different responses to and perceptions of the Australian outback as an enigmatic, mysterious, spirited and haunted terrain. It explores the dark undercurrents that inform mythologies of the Australian landscape across contemporary indigenous and non-indigenous art works. The selection of photographic, paint and s...culptural works reflect upon how the outback triggers the imagination in unsettling ways. It is at once darkly evocative, psychologically compelling and peppered with spiritual and mythological stories of the land. ARTISTS: Brook Andrew, Jane Burton, Rebecca Dagnall, Eva Fernandez, David Downs Jarinyanu, Nigel Hewitt, Janet Laurence, Rosslynd Piggott, Polixeni Papapetrou, Brad Rimmer, Jacqui Stockdale, Monique Tippet, Paul Uhlmann, Paddy Fordham Wainburranga, Toni Wilkinson.
