25.01.2022 Evan Jenkins, my husband, my soul mate, my baby daddy and my best friend, sailed off on his biggest adventure at 4:00pm today, surrounded by love. Wishing you a safe journey my love, thank you for sharing your beautiful heart with us.

19.01.2022 Escaped from the hospital bed for a few hours and pinched a wheelchair to make things a bit easier for Ev. A good time was had but very tired. He missed you today Jai Liddle Tattoo-Artist Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre A massive thank you to Emma Curd for your help today, we could not have navigated prams and wheelies without you.

12.01.2022 Daddy’s home! A huge thank you to the beautiful souls at Mater Hospital Ward 9a for looking after Evan for the last few weeks. Your care for Ev and Chilli has been amazing, thank you! We have been approved for NDIS support and so now we can get on with our ‘new normal’ life at home together as a family for as long as we can. ... Shout out to Kirsty Wills and Hannah Tripolone for your help with the goals and getting the program over the line! We saw the radiation oncologist on Wednesday and he has said it’s too early to tell if the radiation worked and if the tumour has progressed, another MRI will be done in two months time. Evan had two thirds of his brain zapped, which tells you how far the disease had spread. Ev’s short term memory loss and confusion along with his lethargy are still prevalent, however he seems much brighter. We have care overnight and 24/7 for the upcoming weeks to ensure Ev is safe and supported as much as he needs. We want to thank you all so much for your love and support. Your donations have helped us with rent, nappies, doctors bills, clothes for Chilli, clothes for Evan (the steroids to reduce the edema have increased his weight considerably), utilities, groceries, medication, parking at the Mater, $10 buzz cuts to shave his head where the hair hadn’t been affected, flights for family to come and help, vet bills, emergency respite and carers where required, formula for bub, paediatrician, petrol, dog food....the list goes on. The gofundme page was set up by my beautiful colleague Aimee Lee, and the money was put into my account to manage and look after my family. Evans incredible colleagues at Mater ED have been phenomenal with their support for Evan, Chilli & I - the meals, the fundraising, the dog food(), the visits and the love you have showered on Chilli, we are so grateful . It’s important for us to be transparent with your generosity, should you wish to see transactions just holler, however I can assure you every cent has and will be spent on keeping us fed, watered, housed and well, and we thank you so much from our hearts. You have shown us time and time again how much Evan is adored by his friends and colleagues past and present and the impact he has made on so many people. Thank you

10.01.2022 This picture is for Evan, a place he knows well and the place I love and live. I am fortunate enough to have finally met the man who stole the heart of one of my besties - Amanda, Evan and I had spoken on the phone a few times and I had always planned on meeting him, when the two of them became three, but never in these circumstances......... Evan was clearly an amazing man, intelligent, funny, charming, water loving, tatts covered guy, waiting to be the best father possibl...e to the adorable Chilli....... Over my short visit with Superwoman aka Amanda and the divine Chilli, I have the 1st hand experience on how impossibly hard life now is for this family and the reality of their short and beyond difficult situation and time together. Unfortunately for all, Evan struggle with his memory, he forgets the most basic and important information - often. Superwoman has been there EVERY STEP of the way, loving Evan, even when most of us would be frustrated and walk away (myself included) telling him, over and over what is happening, where he is, the harsh facts, she lovingly answers his messages, 100’s of them, at all hours of the day and night, when he starts to plan for their future, when he is hallucinating, when he is totally confused..... Amanda does everything she possibly can and more to make sure that the shell of her fiancé Evan, has the best possible remaining time together - The hardest journey of all, with the saddest ending. She juggles their beautiful baby daily to the hospital and appointment etc and continues to hold herself together, and is currently trying to be able to bring him safely home, but safety for all of them is a huge consideration. So friends and family, I ask you all now, especially as Amanda will never ask, HELP them wherever you can! I know so many of you already have and they all appreciate your efforts, but this is a long and hard slog for a new mum and little Bub! If you need ideas on what you can do, please feel free to PM me.
