15.01.2022 The importance of saddle fit for both horse and rider. Yesterday I was again reminded of how important it is to ensure the saddle fits both the horse AND rider while helping a client with their saddle fit. We often focus on the benefits for the horse. With the correct fit they are able to work in comfort without pain, remain sound and develop the muscles required to perform in their disciplines. Without a correctly fitting saddle we risk the horses physical and mental wellbe...ing. BUT when the saddle is also fitted to the rider the rider is able to ride pain free, with balance, better control their body and engage the correct muscles required to develop an independent seat. The result? The rider becomes a better (and easier) load for the horse to carry, and their riding skills and abilities improve more rapidly. A happier rider = a happier horse! I love my job

13.01.2022 Ready for this weekend’s dressage clinic with guest coach, trainer and Grand Prix rider Linda Schmerglatt Linda and her horse Fenton were selected in the dressage shadow team for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Linda is world renown as the correct seat specialist and she helps riders from around the world develop their riding position and independent seat, allowing their horses to move freely and dance. Linda caters for all levels of riders and horses from beginners through to the elite. Linda has been regularly coaching in Roma since 2011.
