18.01.2022 Trustees of land held on trust have until 31 July 2020 to advise RevenueSA of the land they hold on trust. If your land is held on trust and has a current exemp...tion from land tax in place, the exemption will continue to apply (if all criteria continue to be met). For land acquired after 30 June 2020, all trustees must inform RevenueSA of land held on trust, regardless of whether or not it is exempt from land tax. RevenueSA only needs to be told once that the land is held on trust. Once we have been informed, this will be noted on our system. For more, see: http://revenuesa.sa.gov.au//land-t/land-tax-changes/trusts

16.01.2022 From midnight tonight, South Australians will pause and create a 6 day circuit breaker that will enable us to get ahead of the Parafield Cluster. This means al...l non-essential workers must stay home and only leave for groceries and medical supplies. Our decision to go hard and go early is based on the advice of our world class health team. I know the restrictions we have put in place will be challenging for many South Australians, but the alternative is the virus escapes into the wider community forcing an even longer lockdown. I urge people to be kind and respectful to one another during this time. Click through the images to see what's open and what's closed. Thank you for working together with us - we WILL get through this.

10.01.2022 The $550 Coronavirus Supplement is taxable. This means you need to include it as income in your 2019/20 tax return. Some of you have asked us how you can have ...tax deducted from the Coronavirus Supplement each fortnight. We’ve recently made an update to make this easy for you. From 25 May, if you’ve asked us to withhold tax from your income support payment, we’ll now deduct your nominated dollar amount or percentage from the combined total of your income support payment and the Coronavirus Supplement. For example, if you get $100 of JobSeeker Payment and the $550 Coronavirus Supplement, we’ll deduct tax from the combined amount of $650. If you’ve chosen to deduct a dollar amount of tax from your income support payment, you may want to check and decide if you need to update it to cover the extra income. If you were paying a percentage of tax on your income support payment, you don’t need to do anything. This will be applied to the combined total of your income support payment and the Coronavirus Supplement. You can check how much you’re currently having deducted and decide if you need to update this. If you’re unsure how the Coronavirus Supplement will impact how much tax you need to pay, you can use the tools on the Australia Taxation Office website to help you: https://www.ato.gov.au/Calculators-and-tools/Host/ To find out more about setting up a tax deduction on your income support payment, watch the video below or there’s more information here: servicesaustralia.gov.au/taxonapayment
