25.01.2022 Today, 15 September, is Battle of Britain Day - and this year marks 80 years since this important battle of the Second World War. The sacrifices of the Royal A...ir Force, including the Australian pilots who flew with them, were acknowledged in services over the weekend in Hobart and Adelaide. You can watch the commemorative service that was held at St David's Cathedral in Hobart on Saturday here: https://www.facebook.com/cathedralhobart/videos/799381120890119 The Battle of Britain occurred during the summer and autumn of 1940, as the Royal Air Force fought a prolonged battle in the defence of Britain against an experienced and numerically superior German Luftwaffe. Lest we forget.

24.01.2022 SFC launches a world first: The Sydney International Airport Trial Instructional Flight You heard it right. For a strictly limited time we are offering the oppo...rtunity for anybody to fly into Sydney International in the left-hand seat of the cockpit - normally reserved for captains of passenger jets! The downturn in air traffic at Sydney International presents a unique (but short-lived) opportunity to turn your flying lesson into a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Act now, as the opportunity for itinerant aircraft to fly into Sydney Airport could disappear at any time. Book now and don’t miss out: http://bit.ly/SFC-YSSY-TIF Sydney Airport #SydneyAirport #YSSY

16.01.2022 PARATROOPERS ... one of the first freelance magazine articles I wrote and photographed was at the Parachute Training School at HMAS Albatross at Nowra. Young so...ldiers underwent a couple of weeks of intense instruction and were then sent aloft to jump from Caribou and C-130 Hercules aircraft. That first jump was always a bit intense and everyone handled it differently. Most survived but a few broke bones or injured themselves. Such is the lot of a paratrooper! See more

14.01.2022 Can you imagine being in an aircraft that had to conduct a belly landing? Our Air Force, Our People | You may not have heard of Squadron Leader Luke Warners... Warner, but you probably remember that time back in 2006 when he and the pilot belly landed an F-111 at RAAF Base Amberley. That safe landing was testament to our aircrew’s skill and ability to respond to any situation.
