I dont know what was more nerve racking, cutting through finished herringbone tiles for the vent or cutting the $300 extension piece to suit the pitch... 10.01.2022 Something different today. Design brief was to hide the laundry without it looking too much like it had a door over it. The opening was wildly out of plumb, level, square and straight so made for a good challenge! We settled on bifolds. I took 2 block core solid doors (to help with sound transfer) and cut them down evenly to suit the opening. Trimmed in a 'V groove' pattern and presto! 03.01.2022 We have a front door! Front facade coming together with this beautiful old lead light door and hardware from @chippendalerestorations. Custom spotted gum jambs (devastating to paint). Recycled the old terrazo threshold and retro fitted to work with the new opening. And yes 4 x hinges. I always like to use 4 hinges on our front doors but especially so with this old cedar door.
