24.01.2022 Keep an ear on ABC local Radio, BOM etc if you need to travel through a flood prone area to get to preschool or work. Don’t ever travel through flood water

23.01.2022 Happy Diwali to all

22.01.2022 We were a bit busy with other videos this year so we thought we would reshare this one. To all of our wonderful families thanks for a weird and whacky year! Now to rest.

22.01.2022 Have you missed us? Di, Kitty and Karen are now keepers of the red shirts. Welcome to the Stronger Smarter Alumni. ( this is us social distancing really hard to take a selfie ) #toughdayattheoffice #strongersmarterjarjums

21.01.2022 Today was Kerryanne's last day with us at Woodburn, before she goes off to welcome her new beautiful bubba!! We wish her all the best - we will all miss her!!

19.01.2022 Today we say goodbye to our lovely Tahli. Today is her last day at Evans Head Preschool. She is off to pursue a new career. Tahli started with us on work placement from Evans River K-12 in 2016. In 2017, she began a school-based traineeship completing a certificate 111 in Children's services in 2018. Tahli has grown into a confident and proud Aboriginal woman - and we have loved watching her blossom and grow. Big love for the next life journey xxxxx

16.01.2022 Our final NAIDOC day was celebrated with you guessed it, more food. Lemon myrtle and finger lime cookies. We even learnt the Bandjalang word for finger lime. We have always loved the Tjanpi weavers animations. We used this work as inspiration to make our own Papa’s or dogs as said in Pitjantjatjara language ( spelling changed due to English not having correct characters.) #alwayswasalwayswillbe

12.01.2022 Childhood is a precious time to be guarded. It is a time to be. It is not an apprenticeship for adulthood

12.01.2022 Do you want to work in a Not For profit Community Preschool that Exceeds the NQS? Would you like to join and experienced team under the guidance of a quality Educational Leader? Would you like to be paid to collaborate fortnightly, child free at a team Program and a planning day? Are you a self reflective early childhood professional ready for the next challenge?

11.01.2022 Don’t put the weight of climate change onto our young children. Teach them to love their world - it’s plants and animals - for we can only truly fight for things we love. As ‘nature’ words disappear from our children’s dictionaries to make way for technological ones this is A beautiful song to remind us of what is important.

10.01.2022 How wonderful to have our lovely Lavandis’s mum Aunty Vanessa paint our Acknowledgement to Country. Building community through art. Look at those faces

07.01.2022 Wondering why you pay high fees for early education and care? Wondering why educators earn a pittance? Wondering why the govt invests $8 billion a year on subsidies but early education and care still costs a bomb? Wondering how buying a $400,000 Lamborghini is not seen as absolutely obscene when the women who educate and care for children in this couple’s business earn around $23 an hour? Yes, me too. ... Thanks again Lisa Bryant for your advocacy of not for profit Early Education and Care. https://thewest.com.au//luxury-life-after-the-hard-work-ng

06.01.2022 Has anyone in our Woodburn families lost a gold ring? Maybe their child accidentally brought it in? One was found inside the room last week.

01.01.2022 It looks like we will be able to have family and friends around to celebrate Christmas. Here are some things to keep in mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch

01.01.2022 Many local areas will be affected by flood waters today. Listen to ABC North Coast for road closures etc Consider whether you could be cut off from collecting your child this afternoon when deciding if it is safe to send them to preschool. https://apps.apple.com/au/app/abc-listen/id544149504
