24.01.2022 VALE CHARLIE COX We are shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Club Life Member Charlie Cox. Charlie was a very giving man who lived for his community. He was an incredible community leader who loved Evans Head-Casino SLSC and the community loved him back. He was an all-around nice bloke who always wore a smile on his face. He was vibrant and very positive about the future. He was a visionary always thinking about town improvements and how to make people’s li...ves better. We extend my heartfelt sympathy to his wife, Robyn and his family. RIP our friend.

09.01.2022 NOW TAKING ENQUIRES We are looking for lifeguards and junior staff for the upcoming summer season!! We are looking for lifeguards for Woodburn and C...asino and junior staff across all 4 locations. If you are interested in a great summer job in a fun environment please send your enquires to [email protected]! If you do not have your lifeguard certificate but are interested in becoming a lifeguard, we will be offering a course next month so you can become certified. We will also be offering a first aid course for any junior staff. If you were a lifeguard previously and need a refresher course, that will be available too! We need to have enrolments sorted by the end of next week so send your enquiries in ASAP

04.01.2022 WAVE OF CASH FOR EVANS AND YAMBA SURF CLUBS The Evans Head and Yamba Surf Life Saving Clubs are the big winners from the Nationals in Government’s latest round... of club infrastructure funding. Evans Head has been awarded over $100,000 to upgrade change rooms, toilets and disabled amenities while Yamba has won more than $30,000 for a refurbishment that will include electrical works and new roller doors on the boat shed. Given the reduced surf club activity because of winter and the corona virus, this is the perfect time for works which will support hard pressed local tradies. Surf Clubs don’t just save lives, they teach young people all sorts or life skills to equip them for the future, so this is a really good investment. The grants follow recent news that the Nationals in NSW Government are upping shark protection with shark spotting drones at both Evans Head and Yamba.
