05.01.2022 Today marks 75 years since the world's first nuclear weapon was dropped on Hiroshima. 70,000 people were killed instantly and in total over 140,000 people were... killed in the aftermath of the Hiroshima blast. Even though 75 years seems like a long time ago - the threats that nuclear weapons pose to our society continue. We live in uncertain times, in unprecedented times, and nuclear weapons are continuing to make our world a more dangerous place. Nuclear weapons should be banned. Australia should be a signatory to the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. We need to do everything we can to make sure this never happens again. #hiroshimaneveragain
