20.01.2022 I noticed activity in Beaman Park today when I popped down to the shops, so of course I had to have a sticky beak. It was an event called ‘Get Ready Day’ organi...sed by LSC and designed to help the public prepare for the upcoming severe weather season. It was a chance for people to meet with emergency services and Council Disaster Management staff to get advice on coastal hazards and other risks. Being involved with a few committees with council and other organizations and groups, I am impressed with the way our council is working with the community to keep us prepared for the hazards and risks of our volatile summers. Also got to photograph the event mascot, our very own caped crusader Resilient Ricki. See more
