25.01.2022 LGMA Queensland Awards for Excellence were held Thursday 30th of May at the Shangri-La Gardens ballroom at Wynnum. Event Staging Management as per previous events supplied all the equipment and technical services. It was a great night everything went to plan and due to Kay McGrath keeping everything running to time.

23.01.2022 I have ordered 2 of these to go with my kits I received, the things you learn when working with SDI/ optic fibre.

22.01.2022 Todays toy from the States, its a DAC 60 for when you have to go from SDI to VGA with a choice of resolutions from 800 x 600 to 1920 x 1200. Good when having to use projectors at various venues.

20.01.2022 Day 2 of the QNMU conference, PowerPoints lots of quick can you play this video, all the Monday recordings both FHD and H264 recording have been loaded into a hard drive. Should be a fun second day.

18.01.2022 Working with Bramshaw at The 2017 CIS Consilium is one of my highlights each year. We are never bored as we listen to some of the informed thinkers in Australia on a variety of relevant subjects effecting the world and our nation. I have been working with Simon Kemp since 2005 and we have developed a great working relationship and friendship over those years.

14.01.2022 Some new kit 2x 2way SDI/Fibre Optic kits. I purchased them to send a vision & audio signal from a plenary room to another area at the other side of the hotel. The event changed its mind but I now have them anyway to add to my list of gear.

14.01.2022 Six days at The State Library of Queensland running Auditorium 1 during The Brisbane Writers Festival.

13.01.2022 Another great Conference, next year will be a bit of a drive.

13.01.2022 First Day of International Conference, I am the Technical Director for this 3 day event. We have a main plenary and 8 additional concurrent sessions running. Trying to appear chirpy when I am suffering from the flu.

13.01.2022 Filming and recording in bright light and windy conditions is always hard work. A lapel on the Minister helps as does placing a boom mic near the PA system also. So much easier filming in a corporate environment.

12.01.2022 Like the rest of our Events Industry we are waiting for it all to settle down so we can get back to working again. Who knew there were so many projects to do around the house!

10.01.2022 Technical rehearsal on site as it pays to test the technology well before hand. All went well so we are ready to go later in the week.

10.01.2022 Doing a live web stream as well as dual recording of the conference in Full HD as well H264 recording as well. We are streaming via Facebook live and using OBS to do so. Yesterday we Skyped in the Health Minister from an Island up north somewhere and had a QnA time with him.

10.01.2022 2018 LGMA QLD Awards for Excellence was held on Thursday and Event Staging Management again supplied the Audio Visual & Technical Services for this event. LGMAQ are great clients to work with and very professional in every thing they put together.

09.01.2022 Some webcasting to do with the SLQ for the next few weeks, not a lot of hours but at least it keeps me sane until things go back to normal.

07.01.2022 Wearing my Bramshaw ICS shirt and working with Simon Kemp and Peter Hird at the Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre. Bramshaw ICS supplied Confidea Wi-Fi Digital microphones in the main plenary room as well as Interpretation for all the delegates with Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian and as well English. The event ran for almost a week and we also had @ 6 concurrent meeting rooms with digital microphones running as well. Very important International UN meeting to be involved with.

07.01.2022 LGMA QLD Future Leaders Forum, a 2 day event held in Longreach. Brought together 7 CEOs from various QLD Councils to share their insights to the first 100 days running a council with all the challenges that entails.

06.01.2022 Event Staging Management was there again at The Local Government Managers Association State Conference held at the Gold Coast from the 12th - 14th of September. I have been working with these lovely people for @ 13 years. The conference is held all over the State, in places as diverse as Longreach to Port Douglas. Interesting to see where we will be next year.

04.01.2022 Added a couple of Pharos LED profile zoom spots to the inventory. They will assist where the 2 EK eprofile-fc full colour are just too bright and large for what I want to do.

03.01.2022 Getting back into it after a few months break, COVID 19 safe. LGMAQ had to cancel its Awards Gala evening earlier in the year, but we filmed it today with Kay McGrath for streaming the awards later in the month. Lots of editing and preparing to do before then.

02.01.2022 15th year of involvement in Vertical Events Mining Resources Conference, this year held at the Brisbane Hilton in early September. Must be doing something right as they ask me every year to be involved!

01.01.2022 Middys Electrical Brisbane Roadshow was held at the Shanghai-La Gardens and Event Staging Management was asked to assist with the audiovisual. Event went off really well, hope to work together again next time.
