17.01.2022 Today we cover the basic print locations on a T Shirt. Understanding print locations and print sizes will definitely help with developing a much more effective design. The last thing you want is to have to compromise on a design that you have either paid for or spent hours developing yourself. While it is possible to print on any location on a t shirt using Sublimation printing, we will be focusing on the more common silkscreen and digital transfer printing. Below are the ava...ilable print areas on a shirt including the recommended maximum dimensions for each area. Front / Back Centre Area 260 mm x 260mm A4 or 210 mm x 297 mm A3 or 297 mm x 420 mm Right / Left Hand Chest Area 110 mm x 110 mm Sleeve 100 mm x 100 mm Stick to these print areas and recommended dimensions when looking at silkscreen or digital transfer print projects. These given dimensions also will ensure that your design will look great across the whole size range and even across mens, womens and youth styles.

These are not only great looking fonts but are also freely available for download and use in both personal and commercial projects. Fonts are a key element in the development of design and branding. The Google Fonts website allows you to easily filter and visualise different font pairings. I recommend taking a minimalistic approach in font selection. Stick to 2 fonts if yo...u can. Pick one for the Main Heading and the other for Paragraph text. It is always a good idea to note these down in your Brand Guidelines document for future reference. It is a powerfull cross-platform graphic and image editing tool. I love it because it is free to download and you can use it to do many things. Flat designs convey sleekness and modernity. However, sometime you may want to add a little bit of an extra pop for your logo. A Drop Shadow is an easy way to achieve this. Adding a drop shadow in Inkscape is as easy as: Selecting the image Going to Filters > Shadows and Glows > Drop Shadow This should be easily achieved when working with a vector image. You may have to do a bit of cropping if the image has a background. Check out the video for a quick demonstration on how to do this:
