21.01.2022 Sponsor Spotlight Thank you to Fox Hill Farm and Lyle Equestrian for their generous sponsorship of the EvA95 A class at our upcoming November event. Fox Hil...l Farm is located in Canylonleigh, and operated by husband and wife team of Sam and Nicky Lyle. Their background and passion is eventing and they are both international level competitors with over 20 years experience at the highest levels. Since purchasing Fox Hill Farm Nicky and Sam expanded their business to include spellers and pre trainers and have formed long lasting relationships with trainers. Their elite level eventing experience is a natural fit for pre training as they can ride the horses classically and correctly and help develop rideability. https://www.foxhillfarm.net.au/

19.01.2022 VALE | All Luck We are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Shane Rose Eventing's Silver Medal winning horse from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, All Luck, ...or 'Lucky' as he was known at home. 'Lucky' and Shane won countless competitions together and travelled the world competing in some of the most prestigious events. In 2006 he competed at the World Championships in Germany and in the same year placed 3rd at Burghley International Horse Trials in England. At the Olympic Games in 2008 Lucky produced the best cross-country round of the day, clear in the fastest time "Lucky was as good as they get, he was a complete athlete. Very good paces on the flat, careful and brave in his jumping and so very trainable with a super attitude. Around the stables he was a complete gentleman, he retired from eventing in 2009 and spent the next few years as a dressage horse with Judy Horder. He was laid to rest at the age of 26. He will be dearly missed, we were so very lucky to have had Lucky in our lives" says Shane Rose. Our thoughts are with everyone at Bimbadeen Park and all those connected to Lucky. #Vale #Eventing #Equestrian #Olympian #SilverMedal #AusEquestrianTeam Eventing NSW Eventing Queensland Equestrian Victoria- Eventing Equestrian SA Eventing Equestrian Tasmania Equestrian Western Australia Equestrian Northern Territory

18.01.2022 With just one week to go until the 2020 Tamworth International Eventing CNC, our cross country course is looking an absolute picture. This is our first big even...t since COVID-19 restrictions and we're super excited! In our downtime we've improved the ground of the country course with the aggravator aerator to make it nicer going for our competitors' horses. And, with an amazing season we reckon the course is going to be the best it has been since it was built!

17.01.2022 Dear Riders, It is with great regret that we advise that this weekend's event is cancelled. We have made this decision in the interests of the safety of horses... and riders. Whilst the conditions at Araluen are at the moment quite good, there is a huge amount of rain forecast for Saturday. All entry fees, teams, camping and yards, etc. will be refunded less a small admin fee. These refunds will be processed within the next 2 weeks back to the credit card you used to make your payment. Please allow Nominate time to do this work, as there have also been a number of other events which they will also need to refund. Our next schedule event is 13/14 November. We will also look at a date to hold our popular cross country clinic and derby day over the next few months. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates. Thank you for your support. We have gone from drought to COVID to La Nina. The challenges just keep coming.

11.01.2022 The CCN1*-L has been anonymously sponsored by a very generous and kind individual who would like to champion Assistance Dogs Australia . This fantastic charity... trains dogs to help with all manner of needs, helping improve quality of life for those who truly need it. Covid has been tough for many people, you can only imagine the impact this has had on people who require ADA. For many of them, beyond the physical and emotional assistance, their Assistance Dog is an ice-breaker and a way for them to re-integrate in to their communities. Now, of course, restrictions mean that very little social interaction is allowed. It is really taking its toll on many people. ADA is forging ahead during this time with the help of generous donations of those who know how life-changing these dogs can be. At some stage of the event you will see the ADA crew and one of these skilled dogs! In the meantime if you would like to donate, please visit: http://assistancedogs.org.au See more

09.01.2022 Sadly, at 2:45pm today, my Mother, mentor and great friend, Di Schaeffer passed away. Dad, my brother, Tony and I gave our final farewells in the ICU at the Roy...al Adelaide Hospital, supporting her to the very end. All Doctors and ICU nurses were fantastic but despite their best efforts, the speed with which she received treatment and Mum’s legendary fighting spirit she was not able to overcome the huge amount of damage caused by a massive heart attack sustained on Christmas night. ***UPDATE*** A celebration of Di’s life will be held at Sunburst Equestrian Centre, Darby Road, Echunga at 10:30am, Wednesday January 13 2021. Due to the COVID-19 capacity limit of 200 people, those wishing to attend must register with the Celebrant at: [email protected] by Saturday, January 9, 2021. 04.01.2022 I have updated the calendar to reflect dates hopefully after the zones/areas are revised or removed. Please save the link and revisit often. I will keep it updated. https://www.nominate.com.au//calendar-september-december.p... I have two rows for each weekend in case we still have zones/areas and then we can possibly run a North and South Event. I am also hoping to add some additional low level events to keep horses in light work. All Interschool competitions are current on hold, waiting for, hopefully, changes from NSW Education. Vicki.
04.01.2022 Nominations are now OPEN for the 2020 Gow-Gates Group International 3 Day Event As of Monday 2nd November (today) Queenslanders wishing to travel to the Gow-G...ates International 3 Day Event at Wallaby Hill will be able to do so. Wallaby Hill’s LGA is WIngecarribee and that is currently NOT listed by the Queensland government as a Hotspot. You will have to travel through Greater Sydney though; but as we understand it, as long as you don’t stop in any of the listed hotspots, you should be able to travel through them; but we suggest that you check this with the Queensland Government first. #wallabyhill #gowgatesequine #eventing

01.01.2022 Work is well underway for the upcoming Hunter Trials (HT) in 2 weeks time. Yesterday through Eventing NSW we sent out a survey to gain some insight as to how lo...gistically we can get the weekend to work for most people; thank you to those that have completed this 1 minute survey, we will be finalising the data this evening. If you haven’t yet completed it, and you intend on coming to the training then please take the time now and do it. The HT will be absolutely following the Public Health Order and is restricted to 500 people. This is not negotiable. We have the following advice for those intending to travel out of their health zone; * if you have a suitable training facility within your health zone then we suggest that you utilise it and stay within your zone at this current time * if you attend the HT that you leave the premises immediately when you have completed your training and return home * parking (health) zones will be utilised to create seperate areas; everyone is expected to adhere to the ‘rules’ and stay within your allotted zone (except for when actually training). Non compliance will not be tolerated. * at all times Covid-19 safe practices must be adhered to Personally I am pushing hard to make this event happen: I feel that particularly the star level horses and riders (and most importantly the less experienced ones) are heading into this next competition phase (well hopefully) more than a ‘little underdone’. This HT is aimed at a no pressure, relaxed atmosphere outing to prepare horses and riders for their first competition back. I’m sure that there will be more updates soon to follow! Have a great day, Sandy
