Just a note to update you all with apples and apologies for the last couple of weeks of jumbled communication - between work hours changing, school holidays and fixing up the farm issues it has been a challenge! So! ... We still have eating apples (Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala) and juicing apples (Granny Smith, Fuji, Gala & Jonathans) available for sale. Spice Cart Portland / Your Natural Pantry are now out in town stockists for apples - so you can walk in and buy direct from them. Please support these guys where possible. We can also deliver your order to The Spice Cart for pick up direct. And we are resuming our apple deliveries this week for four weeks. With a few small changes in place. It will be a minimum of 2kg for a delivery, and flat rate of $5 per kg delivered. So $10 minimum for a home delivery. We are estimating we have 4-6 weeks left of storage time as the apples are starting to soften a fraction - so we are aiming to sell as much as possible in that time frame before we switch off the cool rooms. Next year we will be back with apples late Feb / early March. We also still have young fruit trees available to do bare root transplanting - if this interests you then send us back a message. No additives, no preservatives, no coloring; just natural, homemade, delicious buttery goodness! ... Plain buttermilk scones & buttermilk blue cheese and chive scones soon followed, zero waste :) I’m going to need to exercise more :S
03.01.2022 Last night during milking the transformer blew out on our power supply. With two cows to go .. I decided to hand milk. Of course the last two cows are the two flighty ones. Surprisingly both handled it well - no kicks and no spilt buckets.
