18.01.2022 This is just a friendly reminder that Everton DCC have now opened registrations for their Junior and Master Blaster programs on playcricket.com.au (link below) for season 2020/21. https://www.playcricket.com.au/club-finder/club-details The program is running on a Saturday morning as it has done for the past few years with both programs starting at 8am Junior Blaster will run until 9am and Master Blaster finishes at approx. 9.30am each week.... If you have any questions at all about the program, please either email Rocco or Sri (cc’d in) or feel free to give me a call. Spread the word and let all your friends and family that cricket is back at Everton. Looking forward to seeing you all down there on the 17th!

17.01.2022 A couple of things that need covering. Covers. Just want to remind all players that it is not the responsibility of the club volunteers to put covers out nor put them away. It is a player responsibility and Team Captain’s need to be proactive and delegate players to put on/put away the covers. After being left out since the beginning of the season The covers have been put away (by your club volunteers and a few players) and it’s been decided that they won’t be put out again... this winter season. We have enough to do in preparing the fields and pitches in limited daylight hours, and yes, as strange as it may seem, we all have day jobs as well. We don’t have time to deal with covers. COVID 19- Reminder that Team Captains need to ensure protocols are met, hands must be sanitzed prior to entering the clubhouse, temperature checks and sign on is required for all players and spectators from both their team and the opposition. All players need to bring their own pen to sign with. To ensure the games can start on time, teams need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their usual turn up time to complete the above requirements. Social Distancing needs to be strictly adhered too. No sharing of equipment, no dressing sheds to be used. Can we ask that your equipment not be placed in the clubhouse, under the club veranda or under the shade shelters, please leave those areas so players/spectators can use for sitting under and spreading out. I know no one wants the season to be cancelled so please do the right thing. Remember the above requirements are required as part of Cricket’s COVID Safe Plan and the club committee has an obligation to ensure compliance. Jeff Cavanough Vice President
