18.01.2022 Check these work horses out! Members of the Gaythorne Bowls, Sports and Community Club sweated it out last month at 2 working bees. Working bee 1 involved scarifying the green surface to remove some grass, sand surfacing and then aerating the soil. Working bee 2 involved barrowing in, spreading and levelling sand over the Green to ensure it is looking its best for the coming 12 months for members and barefoot bowlers.... As you can imagine working bees like this are very physical and most of the members (who are doing this voluntarily!) are in their upper years, so well done gentlemen Read more of what the club has been up to in November over on our website. https://echo-news.com.au/a-bustling-month-at-gaythorne-bow/

13.01.2022 We've been getting this question a lot The answer is yes We're asking you to wear a mask in the car because a consistent approach helps keep people safe. We... want you to wear a mask when you leave home - by whatever means, for whatever reason. Walk, drive or cycle - put a mask on when you leave home and keep it on, unless you're taking it off for an allowed purpose. If everyone in Greater Brisbane gets in the habit of putting a mask on whenever they leave home, we're more likely to keep it on - and that's the thing that will help keep people safe and reduce the likelihood of a longer lockdown.
