22.01.2022 Title: A sense of place and belonging Artist Sarah Sculley worked with the Year 9 Art Class (2020) and Mrs Kiri Fitzgerald to develop this mural. The colours come from a colour study of the campus. The dark purple is from flora found on the school grounds. The light purple is from the jacarandas. The blues are from the school colours. And the orange is an energetic contrast to bring vibrancy and energy to the space. The stylised shape of the Brisbane river running across all ...four panels of the mural is recognition of the tradition custodians of the land - the Turrbal people who lived on food from the river and waterways. The round texture is an interpretation of every student is known - the dots show the school community and the individuals all being known and recognised. The textural star shapes are from the middle of the school emblem. The white lines running throughout the mural symbolise the ups and downs of life throughout secondary schooling. See more

08.01.2022 My tip for anyone who might want to start an R U OK? conversation is to just do it. Take a deep breath and ask the question. You dont need to have all the ans...wers. Just letting that person know that you care and that they are worthy of being cared about is sometimes enough. Have the Lifeline and Mental Health Line numbers stored in your phone or wallet, in case you feel its out of your depth, but most importantly just listen and be there for that person. R U OK? Ambassador Lisa Nichols shares her tip for starting a conversation that could change a life. #theresmoretosay #ruokday #ruokeveryday
