18.01.2022 PROTEIN INTAKE - - Usually recommendations of protein intake lay between 1.6-2.2grams of protein per kg of bodyweight. Usually the higher end of that range when in a calorie deficit to spare any potentially muscle loss. -... - I use @vitalstrength pure series whey protein isolate as it has a high protein per scoop ratio, with 27g plus a wide variety of amino acids. - - It’s quick and easy to consume and allows me to hit my protein targets a lot easier when I’m busy and can’t eat or cook my meals. - - Check out @vitalstrength pure whey protein isolate and other great products on their website vitalstrength.com and don’t forget to add SCOTT10 at the check out for a discount. - - #BeFitTraining #BeFitUnlikeAnything #BeFitHQ #BeFitMovement #BeFit #BeFitAlexandria #BefitDoubleBay #protein #wheyprotein

14.01.2022 PRE WORKOUT PERFORMANCE - - With my work schedule and times in which I need to train, its hard to have optimal nutrition prior to my training sessions. This is where @vitalstrength Pre workout shots come in really handy straight after my last session and right before I commence my training program.... The concentrated pre workout gels are quick and easy to digest, giving quick energy and focus towards my @befit.training session ahead. - - -With sessions that are developing strength, endurance, metabolic conditioning and overall fitness, a pre-workout supplement like this is important - - If you’re interested in any more information about @vitalstrength supplements or interested in any of their products, use my code SCOTT10 at the checkout for a cheeky little discount. - - #health #fitness #gym #functionalfitness #preworkout #befit #befittraining #unlikeanything See more

09.01.2022 DB BEAST ROWS - - Snippet taken from @befit.training BESTRONG session. -... - The DB Beast row is a great row variation that incorporates the entire body to provide stability throughout the movement. - - TIP: Drive down one arm against the floor as you row the opposing arm. This creates more tension/stability and activation throughout the body as you complete the movement. - - #BeFitTraining #BeFitUnlikeAnything #BeFitHQ #BeFitMovement #BeFit #BeFitAlexandria #beast #beastmode See more

08.01.2022 What protein should I take? - - This is a question asked numerous times. -... - My answer always comes down to goal dependance, necessity as part of a diet, expense, and to some degree, tolerance of some food groups. - - Goal dependance and necessity are probably the two biggest factors, when choosing/needing a protein supplement. If your goal is to build muscle, then a diet adequate in protein is essential for muscle development, preservation during dieting phases, and recovery. General recommendations of how much protein per day is in the range of 1.6g - 2.2g of protein per kg of bodyweight. Now if your someone that consumes an adequate amount of protein In your diet already, then there may not be a necessity for an added Protein supplement, however if you are like me, and perhaps ist hard to access a meal after a workout or unable to eat anything prior to training then a protein supplement shake is great for a quick hit of protein to boost the overall amount required and to start the recovery ready for my 2nd session that day or the next. - - Now there is also a difference in Protein supplements and once again this comes down to goals and also an individuals current dietary regime. - - If you are wanting to bulk up and have the potential environment for your body to stack on some muscle, provided you are weight training frequently and are just not getting enough protein throughout the day due to job and other factors, then a lean, low carb, high protein supplement might be the best option for you. However if you are finding it hard to put on some weight perhaps due to not being able to eat enough calories required for the day, and to some individuals, could exceed the 4000-5000 calorie mark, then a mass gainer might be the option for you. With a big hit of carbs in a serving this provides the muscles with the energy required for those gruelling weight training sessions. - - The choice once again Is always goal dependant and if it is necessary. - - Hope this helps clear up some confusions on Protein supplements - - My favourite right now is @vitalstrength hydroxy ripped choc peanut butter.
