16.01.2022 The winner of the give away parkrun prediction competition was Nicole Johnston. She predicted 18:37 and I ran 18:37. ( I promise this isn't rigged as I use to train with Nicole ) We had an amazing 67 predictions. Thanks for your comments.

06.01.2022 COURSE DISTANCE Let's get a few housekeeping things out of the way . These days runners love their GPS watches and exact distances. ... The course today was measured on a bike which is more accurate than running. This will be later backed up by a measuring wheel. Some runners might measure less than 7 km by 100 to 200m , I can assure you it will be 7km. The GPS data gets confused with all the trees in the reserve. So don't worry if it's short because it's not. I will allow 20 to 30m more distance to allow for these variables. Cheers, Brian .

02.01.2022 GIVE AWAY ENTRY - GUESS WHAT TIME RACE DIRECTOR BRIAN LYONS WILL RUN AT THE DEVONPORT PARKRUN ON SATURDAY?? A few hints.... He has been running 15 to 23 km a week the last 7 weeks. ... He has run at least one interval session a week the last 5 weeks. He is coming back from a long term injury since Feb 2020. Rides about 40 km a week on the bike. He will be going off the 5km distance registered on his watch and not the Devonport Parkrun course. He will be racing hard. Post your predictions??? ( winner announced Saturday the 3rd of April- closest to time wins. )
