24.01.2022 5 Simple Detox Tips for the New Year 2020 Following the overindulgence of the festive season many clients may be feeling waistbands fitting a little more snugly. Here are 5 simple detox tips to help reduce that bloated feeling, increase energy and lead to an improved, clearer complexion.... Drink more water. I know we hear this tip all the time and it will be much more beneficial if you reduce your caffeinated tea and coffee intake at the same time. Simply substitute hot water with a slice of lemon for a warming, cleansing beverage. Reduce red meat consumption. Dense proteins add an extra strain to the digestive tract. Give it a break and allow more toxins to be eliminated. Choose fish, legumes or tofu as substitute protein sources instead. Cut back on sugar including refined carbohydrates (white bread, white rice, etc.) and alcohol. High sugar intake alters bacterial composition in the gut making weight loss more difficult. Walk and move about. Our bodies are not designed for sitting all day and sedentary lifestyles many people have these days.
