24.01.2022 All of the branded logos, marks and patterns I really do love seeing a brand come to life through different logos, marks and patterns These are the 41 brand elements that came together for Li Kardia Rose Because my client wanted to keep the primary logo with a minimalist-inspired font, it was a great way for me to include a brand pattern and elements that really showcased the bohemian messaging ... 24.01.2022 Hey Evie, isn't branding just a logo? So can you please just quote us on a logo? This question pops up time and time again on discovery calls, so I wanted to dive into this topic a little bit deeper Your brand is the embodiment of almost everything your business is and does. Your brand lives and evolves in the hearts and minds of your customers, therefore it is crucial to the success of your business... + Your brand builds credibility and trust ~ Having strong branding doesn't just make your product more memorable; it makes your brand more authoritative in the marketplace or industry. A brand that establishes a face, and maintains that face consistently over time, develops credibility and trust. + Your brand attracts your ideal customers ~ A brand identity - one with a face, trust and a purpose - attracts your ideal customers or clients. Once you have found your customers or clients, your brand gives them a sense of belonging and develops advocates for your biz. Your biz is much bigger than 'just a logo' See more

16.01.2022 Is your brand consistent? Consistent across all platforms, channels and mediums? Try these four things to remain consistent with your branding 01 Develop a brand strategy. Have one already? Make sure it's polished and correctly aligned with your values.... 02 Stick to a colour palette and specific fonts - don't chop and change to suit your mood. 03 Create brand guidelines - this is your bible for your brand. Everything visual about your brand should be in this nifty document. 04 Hire one person to do your branding. Don't outsource your colour palette to one designer and your logo to another. It may be cheaper in the short term, but long term this will cost you. If you are intentional about your branding your audience and client base will naturally gravitate towards you See more

13.01.2022 Studio Update This week I have been a little MIA from social media, this has been done intentionally. Over the last few weeks I have been working with the wonderful @chelsea to really narrow my niche. Diving into what industries excite me, who I LOVE working with, what my dream clients look like and how I can be really specific with who I talk to. I wanted to be mindful and not let social media pull my focus or distract me from doing the hard work I'm st...ill yet to finalise this, but I am so DANG excited where Evie + The Village is heading I'll share more details shortly! Hope everyone is enjoying their week See more

13.01.2022 4 considerations when choosing the best ecommerce platform for you and your biz You might be at a stage in your biz where you have designed/developed/crafted this incredible product and you can't wait to start selling and making off of your ideas. But before you jump in and quickly choose a digital storefront (platform) for your biz (most likely the first or second option on google), have you thought deeply about the below scenarios?... 1. Where will you sell your products? Online, offline, at the markets? Will you accept all payment methods for these sales? 2. What is the best way to deliver your products for your customers? Is this the best way for your biz? 3. Will you be consistently engaging with your current and future customers to grow your biz? 4. Will this platform become the 'hub' for your business and drive how you operate day-to-day? Will you be doing everything from managing finances to making sure your strategies are working and learning new tactics? Will you be requiring technical support if something happens? A lot of brands will instinctively choose the easiest and most affordable platform for their biz, but there's so much more to the decision that the day to day use and business cost. You need to think about where your business is headed and anticipate your future needsand find a platform that can anticipate those needs as well Feeling a little overwhelmed? 10.01.2022 As I lean deeply into my 'why' I find myself leaning more and more into the fashion industry. The creativity, the soul, the imagination, the theatrics of it all... everything draws me in. It always has But if I'm totally honest, I don't think the passion lies with creating the garments itself, while this has always been fun, I don't get as excited as I should. What I do love, right now in this very moment, is empowering women with the toolkit and confidence to grow... an obsession-worthy brand that their dream customers will buy from and advocate for. Giving these women the freedom to explore new concepts, innovate designs and most importantly, experience work-life balance Feeling really inspired, I picked up the March issue from Vogue and the editors letter reads 'That creativity calls on being consciously connected to the things and people who inspire us, to ideas that are sometimes bigger than our own, which we embrace or reimagine The whimsical imagery you see to the left were conceived by creative director Jillian Davidson and photographer Derek Henderson. Inspired by the final book written by Dr Seuss, in 1990, Oh the places you'll go. It was written in hope, addressing children's fears and obstacles but encouraging them to keep going, to keep trying, because there is so much to look forward to ahead. Creatives can sometimes unknowingly channel a message from the past to give new meaning to the present What an inspiring-playful inspiration for a rainy Tuesday morning See more

07.01.2022 Officially heading into my second business year of Evie & The Village Wowe I feel so grateful to have supported myself and to grow my biz for an entire year... who would have thought? I have learnt so much over this last year, I've achieved big goals, work towards others, failed again and again, encountered endless fears and have worked through my fair share of disappointments. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions and I wanted to share some of my take...aways from the 2020 that was 01 Being a boss means you wear ALL the hats - apart from the design work and client projects you can find me running marketing, advertising, administration, client communications, sales, technical support, social media management, accountant, mentor, among others. The list goes on and on 02 I am more confident than ever - before focusing on my own business, I would go red or get embarrassed if anyone drew attention to me, blend into the background, crossed my fingers and hope that I didn't need to speak at a board meeting or present an opinion. By going full time I've had to learn to back myself more than ever, I've had to truly step outside my comfort zone, speak to clients who are wildly successful and show them why my approach to branding is the perfect fit for their biz. Having to rely on yourself to bring in business and run that business uncovers an inner strength you never deemed possible. 03 You're not in competition with any other business, just do what you love. Just because another biz might be in a similar niche, similar audience, similar style or even may have started at the same time as you, it doesn't help your mindset to compare. Support others and genuinely hope everyone succeeds, there is enough space for everyone to show up. What takeaways have you had from running your own business? See more

07.01.2022 When the brief reads 'Precious, Subdued and Magical'.... OH YES, SIGN ME UP

06.01.2022 Still dreaming of this pretty brand that was developed for a bohemian boutique At the end of last year we worked with the incredible team at LKR to develop their brand library. The brief? A bohemian vibe ... what a dream! Give me bohemian boutiques any day of the week, I love playing with florals, rustic earthy tones, paint and clothing dye textures

02.01.2022 Obsessing over this brand mark we developed for GYST (Get Your Sh*T Together - best brand name ever, am I right?) Something to always keep in mind, your brand isn’t just your logo it’s an identity built from lots of elements, patterns and marks A brand mark exactly like this

01.01.2022 Daily reminder: approach today with gratitude, understanding and openness; knowing that it offers potential and possibilities. Knowing that every moment is an opportunity to reflect, reset and move forward with intention. @ Mermaid Beach, Queensland, Australia
