The first step to any anti-ageing skincare routine should start with a broad spectrum SPF applied every day, even when it’s cloudy. 18.01.2022 In probably the last hurrah of the warmer days before the cooler weather kicks in ensure you are sun safe this weekend Did you know? All products with sun protection are measured for SPF in the same way - by applying 2 mg/cm2 of sunscreen onto bare skin and seeing how much protection from UV rays this gives. For the face, this equates to about teaspoon or a large almond size amount. ... The best way to get optimal levels of sun protection is to apply a sunscreen such as @medik8australia physical sunscreen on clean skin before you apply your make-up. Make sure to use enough of this (large almond size!) to stay protected. Other things to take note of In high strength sun or if you are going to the outside for extended periods, apply every 2 hours for optimal protection Apply at least a 1/4 of a teaspoon to face, neck and décolleté Replace your sunscreen every 12 months Sweating, physical contact and water can all affect the amount of protection you're getting - reapply regularly Enjoy the beautiful sunny weather this weekend but be sun safe
