20.01.2022 And one more post for the road... we seem to do a little better than the UK in the paper usage, but my source for the Australian data was National Storage of all places! This year I’m making my own fabric bags that I’ll reuse forever! See my fabric and the paper stats below!

10.01.2022 Last week I went to the IPWEA Qld Conference. It was so refreshing to see our State Government (TMR) taking on a circular economy approach, doing research, creating guidelines for use of recycled materials and advocating for 100% recyclability of all materials used to construct roads. I’m working to reduce my footprint too. More coming! Thanks for the added inspiration IPWEA!

05.01.2022 Please answer this one for me... why do we need economic growth? Can we just have economic stability and sustainability instead? Why the focus on growth? Here’s an exercise... Think of your favourite 3 things you value about where you live and in your life... write them down.... scroll down once you’re done... .... . . Okay... how many of those things were to do with the environment? How many were to do with $$$ and economy? (I can bet there were none in the second category - most of us place value around environmental and social items). Why do we put so much importance and focus on something we don’t seem to value?
