22.01.2022 Saturday arvo deep thinking as I lay here on the trampoline while Ollie plays . To the non essential worker.. you are important! life has changed for everyone lately and while of course I am grateful to those with essential jobs who have been keeping the country running I have also been thinking of those people whose jobs are deemed non essential.. losing your ability to contribute to your family’s financial needs, potentially having to rely on the government for money for ...the first time in your life, losing your structure and your independence, these things can really make you start questioning your self worth and maybe even make you re-assess your career choice.. just remember that what you do for a living does not make you any less worthy of a person, life will go back to normal and you will return to making a difference to people’s lives in your own essential way! 22.01.2022 Yesterday Emma from Vital Therapy by Emma Jones and I spent the day at a scar tissue release course in Adelaide . It was a very informative course and I feel the technique we learnt will be very beneficial to many of my/our clients! . The technique can be used on visible scars, internal scar tissue, as well as on restrictions and adhesions in your connective tissue.. Emma was feeling some restriction in her shoulder so I practiced using the technique to mobilise the restrict...ed tissue.. the results were pretty cool! (See picture 2) . I look forward to putting my new skills into practice over the next few weeks before I take a break while I await the arrival of baby number 2! See more

15.01.2022 Drop in days for Mental Health Month :)

15.01.2022 Morning everyone! After 10 weeks off I will be able to recommence work on June the 8th (providing that the guidelines remain the same), I feel the best way to go about rebooking will be to contact my clients in order of those who had to miss their appointments first, I will be in touch with you all over the next week or so on a side note, if my work shirts are looking a little snug it’s not because I’ve been comfort eating during the isolation period (well maybe a little bit ) but also because I’m expecting baby number two in early Nov!

05.01.2022 The amount of pain we feel can change depending on a lot of external factors! I’m going to use my own experience as an example; I had a small tear in my plantar fascia (bottom of my foot) a couple of years ago, with time the tear healed but I still had a lot of pain that didn’t seem to want to go away! I had a lot of emotional ties to this injury, I hated that it stopped me from doing all of the things that I wanted to do like running and playing netball, the frustration of t...his consumed my thoughts a lot in turn creating an increase in sensitively to the pain/injury! This continued for almost a year and a half until to my surprise I found out I was pregnant! lol from that moment on I didn’t pay my foot much attention at all and a few months later I realised the pain was gone! If you are someone that experiences pain everyday ask yourself what other factors might be playing a role in the sensitivity of your pain! Make some changes and control what you can to decrease your pain levels (eg. Mediation, stretching, walking, sleep, healthy home and work environment, drink water, healthy diet, meet with friends, seeking advice from a trusted health professional etc)
