25.01.2022 Flashback! Tribal team chore at Brisbane Zouk Festival 2018. So much fun :)

25.01.2022 Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well :) We do hope to resume classes sometime soon but cannot give you a firm date just yet x... We understand partner dancing is allowed, however there are other constraints around operating a business with managing the risks around Covid-19, such as an approved Covid-19 management plan. We are taking a cautious approach to the return to social dancing and public events - despite the current conditions in SA, as we can see from the recent Vic news this pandemic is far from over (we are very lucky here in Aus). Just our personal position on the situation at the moment. So with that, we also wanted to share this story with you. You can dance anywhere at anytime... Keep thinking outside the box... Keep the positivity up and the happy endorphins that come from dance & physical activity. YOU ARE ALL AMAZING AND CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU DANCING!!!!

20.01.2022 Hi to our amazing Evolution Dance tribe! Just like many of our fellow dance studio owners, the team at EDC have made the decision to cease our classes effective immediately Due to the increasing concerns about community transmission of COVID-19, we have decided to take proactive action regarding our Zouk classes and Zouk Night social event. We will be closely monitoring any new information/recommendations & will provide updates with our schedule changes as required. As it ...stands, we have made some very tough decisions which we believe is the most socially responsible course of action to take in protecting our wonderful community we care about so much. Obviously, the safety and well-being of not only our students, but their families and the wider community as a whole is our top priority. At this stage, we are suspending classes on Wednesday evenings until after the Easter long weekend. If you have prepaid for the current Zouk course, any classes remaining will be credited to you, for use when we resume classes again. We will also be cancelling our beloved Zouk Night (April 2nd). The next Zouk Night is scheduled for Thursday May 7th, which we hope will take place as planned. We will continue to review the commencement date of our classes in line with the government recommendations. While we really do not want to have to close classes any more than we have to, we also want to avoid putting anyone at undue risk. When we do resume classes, we will update and inform everyone of our strategies to have safe yet still fun classes running for you. Remember to look after yourself and others. Being part of the Zouk community is not just about dancing, its about the meaningful social connections that we all share. In Zouk a core part of what we all do is work to bring people together, inspire new ideas & creativity, support positive mental/physical health, and emotional wellbeing through positive learning experiences and social engagement. Given we may each be potentially faced with necessary isolation and increasing social distancing measures to slow down the spread of Covid-19, please remember that our most vulnerable community members may be feeling particularly distressed and alone during this time of uncertainty. We can choose to notice, and check in on people by phone, facetime, email, social media, skype etc to show that we care and that our community is strong and resilient in the face of such challenges. Lets keep up the communication, share resources online, and keep our community engaged and connected as best we can. Stay calm, go on with your life, take extra hygiene precautions, and for now send virtual hugs to your dance partners Biggest hugs, The EDC team xx

15.01.2022 Hello our amazing community! Our tribe of lovers of all things dance! In the spirit of Are you ok day, I wanted to reach out and say hi :) I know we have been quiet for a few months during this Covid period, but I wanted to assure you we are still here!!... And we miss youand we think of you dearly x What have you been up to these last few months, have you taken some r&r and caught up on some me time? I have been spending lots of time with the hubby and our pups - see pics :) Spending extra time in our Bike shop (so good seeing everyone getting into exercise outdoors too), plus lots of mountain bike rides and walks with the puppies. I thought you might have some questions Are EDC coming back or shut down for good? Why are they not back yet? If so, when will they return? And teach me more spins?? Haha Lil C ;) Let me assure you, we have full intention to return as soon as possible. We have been checking in on the government rules and regulations. We are not basing ourselves on what anyone else is doing, (or passing any judgement either). Rather we have been waiting to see when the restrictions calm down enough to enable us to plan classes again. We will keep you informed well before classes start back. As the the exact start date, I dont have an answer for you just yet. Our community and the amazing people that have become our friends are a big reason of what EDC stands for and why we do what we love.
