25.01.2022 Well it’s not often cars leave making substantially less power then when they came in, but that was the case here, in the interest of keeping this crank in 1 piece Our main man Lachy rolled in after work and we pulled a late one to ensure his new rig was A ok. Lachy had just bought this weapon and was a little concerned it may be a tad spicy, how does 295hp and 820nm at the 35’s sound After dailling the big Diesel Central DC6 down and winding back the GTurbo Diesel Perf...ormance gold wheel back to 25psi we had a smoother torque curve and still managed a healthy 233hp/620nm. We spent special attention to controlling fuelling to reduce the aggressive ramp in of boost/torque to reduce stress on the motor. This also gives us a nice wide torque curve, with over 500nm from 1750rpm and holding all the way instead of a big peak and instantly dropping off. Makes this rig really nice and smooth to drive on the road now, we also Cleaned up the off boost fuelling to reduce unwanted attention. On boost AFR is rarely below 22:1 the entire time, now only the Speedo goes up when you floor it, Not the pyro Maybe once a billet crank goes in with some other upgrades, we can wind it back up and crack that 300hp



24.01.2022 Diesels can’t have blow of valves In this instance, it was 100% required, and did exactly what blow of valves are designed for, venting excess pressure. The Big Boi JP300hp pump just wanted to party, but the mamba was out of its element Arrived:220hp/655nm,30psi/14:1AFR Detuned: 216hp/605nm, 32psi/19.5:1 ... Going up almost 5 points in AFR yet only loosing 4hp and about 50-60nm further shows we are way out of turbo. With a turbo change and some other small upgrades in the future. I’m sure this isn’t the last we will see of this rig.

10.01.2022 Finally someone let me run a 12:1 AFR on their rig Something a little different in yesterday, this gq with a tb45 turbo running a GT35/82, using ECU Master classic to control fuel and timing. On a very conservative 12psi we managed 235hp and 460nm she made all the right noises and drove awesome on the road.

08.01.2022 200% increase in torque at 2000rpm Jamie brought his ute in for the ALPHA TECH treatment. The poor bloke has been driving this ute for years with a faulty boost solenoid causing extremely poor low down response. With a new solenoid fitted up and no other mods except for the Alpha tech and a 2-3/4’ exhaust, he defiantly noticed the gains on the drive home. As arrived: 110hp/260nm ... Tune 1: 165hp/420nm Tune 2: 202hp490nm That’s a 85% gain in peak power, and a 90% gain in peak torque. 07.01.2022 For those who played along last week, here is your answer. In the original photo, the one in the middle was the fake. We will highlight a few little difference: #1, Genuine has manufactures date on the front.... #2, Genuine uses O’rings around the fittings, compared to a poor fitting gasket. #3 genuine has much nicer machine work and a thicker body. (This is harder to tell with out them side by side) Always buy your genuine Turbosmart products from a established distributor. eBay fakes are ruining our industry and potentially damaging your vehicle.

06.01.2022 Well we had Juzzys big rig of a 105 with its 1HD-FTM back on the rollers after he upgraded from the GTurbo Diesel Performance grunter to their latest bad boy, plus their 4’ snorkel, along with a PDI airbox to help the turbo breath. With zero changes to the tune or peak boost pressure, it gained over 40hp Old set up:235hp/700nm@30psi/23:1Afr Tuned: 322hp/800nm@35psi/21:1AFR... Touring:301hp/760nm@33psi/23:1AFR Mods: ADS Fuel Injection and Turbos Inc. Diesel Calibration Center mechanical pump and +40’s Gturbo Bad boy Performance Diesel Intercoolers airbox High Performance Diesel front mount. We spent a bit of time on the rollers trying a few different tune combos, as well as measuring boost at the turbo vs at the manifold to check for pressure drop across the core and to ensure we weren’t over stressing the turbo. There is defiantly a lot left in this set up, but it’s true intentions was to be a tourer. So we reduced fuel to a safe 23:1 and 32psi and still managed 300hp. A true testimony to 1hd engine.
