20.01.2022 Weve temporarily increased the JobSeeker Payment partner income test. From 27 April your partner can earn up to $3,068 per fortnight before their income stops ...your payment. Please be aware that the personal income test still applies. If your partners income is above $1,858.50 per fortnight and below $3,068.80 per fortnight, please wait until 27 April to submit your claim. If youve recently registered your intention to claim, submitted a claim for JobSeeker Payment or your claim was rejected, well assess your claim with the higher partner income test after 27 April. You dont need to contact us or submit your claim again.

It wont necessarily be paid with your normal payment it could be an...y time from today until late April. You dont need to call or do anything - if youre eligible well automatically pay you. If you recently registered your intention to claim a Centrelink payment well assess your claim first and if youre eligible youll get the Economic Support Payment. The ATO has now released the methods and periods you can use to calculate the fall in turnover of your business - you can use:... GST turnover for March 2020 with GST turnover for March 2019 OR Projected GST turnover for April 2020 with GST turnover for April 2019 OR Projected GST turnover for April - June QTR 2020 with April - June QTR 2019 In summary, Employers will be eligible for the JobKeeper payment if all of the following apply: On 1 March 2020, you carried on a business in Australia or were a not-for-profit organisation that pursued your objectives principally in Australia. You employed at least one eligible employee on 1 March 2020. Your eligible employees are currently employed by your business for the fortnights you claim for (including those who are stood down or re-hired). Your business has faced a 30% fall in turnover (for an aggregated turnover of $1 billion or less) 50% fall in turnover (for an aggregated turnover of more than $1 billion), or 15% fall in turnover (for ACNC-registered charities other than universities and schools). (SEE ABOVE COMPARABLE PERIODS) Your business is not in one of the ineligible categories. Read more on the ATO website which has now been updated.
