10.01.2022 We are excited to welcome Nuada to our team commencing in January 2021 (awaiting AHPRA registration for Provisional Psychologist). Nuada completed a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced in July 2020 at Monash University. She has also completed a Bachelor of Psychology with a double major in Science and Arts Psychology at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Nuada has previous experience working as a mental health professional in the community for government funded... organisations. In these roles Nuada gained experience working with adolescent and adult clients on the NDIS diagnosed with: schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety, depression, and autism. Nuada’s therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic, and influenced by clients’ preferences all while incorporating evidence-based models. Nuada enjoys highlighting clients’ strengths and values when helping them work toward their goals and improving overall wellbeing. In her spare time Nuada enjoys being in the ocean and moving her body, whether that be through yoga, dance, or walks in nature.

10.01.2022 Love this! For most of us now is not a time to thrive, it’s about surviving. Getting through this in the best possible headspace we can. Manage your expecta...tions on yourself - be realistic, don’t beat your self up for not being as productive or efficient as you think you ‘should be’. Maybe you haven’t been the best partner or parent lately. Perhaps you haven’t been 100% on top of your nutrition or exercise regime. THIS IS OK AND PERFECTLY NORMAL! These are extremely abnormal times, full of uncertainty, whereby most of us are disconnected from people and things we love the most. Lack of control and ongoing uncertainty is the perfect recipe for anxiety, stress, depression and a decline in overall mental health. Your reaction to 2020 thus far is NORMAL! Manage your expectations, prioritise your self care and practice self compassion & kindness. We will get through this. This too will end #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #selfcare #anxiety #selflove #love #depression #motivation #health #mentalhealthmatters #depression #mindfulness #covid #healing #fitness #life #anxiety #therapy #inspiration #mentalillness #happiness #positivity #covid19 #meditation #quotes #psychology #mindset #melbourne #wellbeing #blokespsychology See more

03.01.2022 Hey Australia! Would you, or someone you know like to connect with others and develop the skills needed for an independent and healthy life? i-Hangout is a 10...-week interactive, online program for adults on the autism spectrum aged 18+ years, that provides participants with a space to connect with others. Participants meet online, twice a week and take part in interesting group activities such as creating music and playing online games. During our last program, the group also discussed topics of interest such as employment or study options, conflict resolution and friendships (eg. asking people questions to get to know them and finding common interests). Commencing Monday 13 July 2020. Visit the Austin Queensland website for more information or to register your interest https://bit.ly/3etzsSP P.S This program is available to adults anywhere in Australia! Autism Queensland
