22.01.2022 I like Mindful walking as much as I like Mindful eating. To encourage myself I'm doing the Oxfam 100km walk (risk is it'll put me off walking for good!). BTW early bird rate for next Mindfulness Based Weight Reduction ends this Friday at midnight. LXx

15.01.2022 The other day I was sitting on the beach with another Mum watching the kids at their surf lesson. She wanted to tell me her story about supporting her father who was dying and how this was all going on for her just before Christmas. She said she was finding it difficult to organise to go shopping with her son to choose a new surf board for his present. Apparently the surf instructor got wind of this, came and picked the boy up, took him shopping for a new board, got a $200 discount and then dropped him home. Thank you Mel for sharing your story and to the gorgeous soul, Dan Frodsham. Above and beyond! Keeps the faith alive!

13.01.2022 Belle Power's dance mindfulness is something else that I can't find words to describe? I was high for days after her last event.

11.01.2022 According to a study by Kim Innes (article published in Yoga Journal) yoga can increase insulin sensitivity and lower cholesterol by as much as 19 and 25% respectively. She also saw a connection between yoga and weight loss by as much as 13.6%. Though it is unclear what the exact mechanism might be that produces these wonderful benefits, Innes hypothesizes that much of it has to do with how reducing stress has a positive impact on the metabolic system.

02.01.2022 What have I been up to? Well I have been really enjoying the time to be living more truly in the present. Yesterday I woke up and was able to cuddle my daughter for a full hour (Yes it's true!) because we didn't have to rush anywhere. Bliss is pretty simple.
