You would be doing the bulk of the prep for our cabinet, all of the prep for our menu as well as meals to order. You will need to have initiative and creativity to come up with our daily specials (Evolve bowl, burger and big breakfast) that are always changing with whatever produce is available. Our focus is to make a positive impact on all of our customers and also maintain our strong relationship with Market Organics as our cafes are located inside/attached to their stores.... The Role We are seeking an experienced, fast-paced Chef who is passionate about vegan/vegetarian food and understands the ethos of Evolve. This position requires a chef who can confidently manage the kitchen alone on his/her days whilst ensuring adequate prep levels for the other chef. The candidate must have kitchen management experience, an enthusiasm for organic produce and be able to prove the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Duties Maintaining kitchen presentation and organisation Work closely with the other chefs to develop menus and specials Ordering, costing and stock management Maintain a high level of personal and kitchen hygiene Develop and implement procedures to ensure smooth daily operations Report to café manager and company kitchen manager Preparation of ingredients for cabinet food (salads, sandwiches, cakes) Preparation and service of menu items and specials. Staff training and management Minimum Requirements Minimum 3 years Chef experience with progressive responsibilities. 02.01.2022 We are sad to announce that our Evolve journey has come to an end. No longer able to support our vision, the brand has been forced into liquidation. While we are sad to go, we are thankful that Market Organics has stepped in to claim ownership of the four cafes.
