24.01.2022 We are looking for expressions of interest for two potential new programs at Evolve Tutoring in Carrum Downs. If we get enough interest we will look to starting them in Term 2. HOMEWORK CLUB? - This would be for Primary School students to come in and sit in a nice quiet distraction free environment to complete their school homework. ... - A tutor would be present ready to assist with any questions they are stuck on. Hopefully this would help take the stress out of homework time for parents. - We are just 400m from Coles, so this is a good chance to get some shopping done. - The cost would be minimal - $10 a session per student. NAPLAN preparation course? - This would be for Primary students in Grade 3 and Grade 5. - It would run for 4 sessions over 2 weeks (2 x 45 minutes a week) between 28th of April and 10th of May (NAPLAN is held between the 14th and 24th of May). - We dont believe in putting kids under too much pressure to do well on NAPLAN. This would be all about building kids confidence in sitting the test and making it a less stressful experience for them. - We would go over a range of sample questions. - The cost would be around $80 for the program. Free drinks and bikkies provided for the kids. Please send us a message if you would be interested in either program! 15.01.2022 Today was the end of our Thursday pre-prep program. Luca and Charlotte were very happy with their certificates and christmas chocolate . Over the past 6 weeks we have spent 1 hour per week establishing important skills needed for a great start to prep. Skills that we worked on were: listening, following instructions, fine motor, pencil grip, cutting/pasting, phonics and maths !!!! Best of luck on your learning journey.
