05.01.2022 What do you define the difference between coaching and personal training to be? What I have come to realise is that I've sold myself as a personal trainer for many years never really grasping the difference of the two. Today I realised I'm worth more than your average Personal Trainer! ... From my understanding, 60 minutes of Exercises 1 through 6,7,8 is a pretty easy job, the job of your average Personal Trainer! But coaching or strength coaching is taking someone through the understanding of movements, correct warm up protocols along with why's of those movements and of course nutrition and thats is so much more than that punch in punch out mentality of Personal Training at your local commercial gym! Don't get me wrong Coaching to a degree is still personal training but at a much deeper understanding of individuality! I pursue to teach clients of the importance of movement and strength training that they participate in to achieve the goals they so desire Rather than raising their heart rate and having then leave a session feeling beat up and trashed. (I believe this is something they can achieve on their own once they have learnt the skills necessary) On a final note; wanting to seperate myself from that of JUST a 'Powerlifting' coach and being able to diversify myself And show my understanding of Strength, Health and Wellbeing for all Ages Genders and Backgrounds.
