21.01.2022 *PROTEIN* It's not very unusual for me to start working with clients to discover that they are on the low end of the protein scale, (some quite extreme). Protein is the most filling macro-nutrient out of them all and contains amino acids which are the building blocks of your muscles. When dieting it becomes even more essential to help prevent the breakdown of muscle tissue. It is seriously involved in many other bodily functions and it really does matter for overall health. I...'ve had quite a few clients who were once feeling crap and tired and as soon as we got them eating an adequate amount of protein there were noticeable improvements. 17.01.2022 MASSIVE shout out to Kelly Lefroy and Lindsey Dee who competed in their very first Powerlifitng Competition yesterday!!! For those of you who aren’t sure,... a Powerlifting Competition is where competitors attempt to lift as much weight as possible for one repetition in squat, bench press, and deadlift. Every lifter is allowed 3 attempts at each lift. A lifters total is determined by the sum of his/ her best lift. These ladies haven’t been training the big 3 lifts for too long.. BUT they sure have been training HARD! I couldn’t more proud of how you both held yourselves together and performed yesterday!! Such an amazing achievement and effort! Well done ladies

13.01.2022 CREATING HABITS! It's two weeks into the new year, you said you were going to go the gym everyday and eat REALLY HEALTHY for the most part. You did well in week one, okay in week two but can already see week three as an utter disaster and going in a downward spiral. You still want to achieve your health and fitness goals but are slowly losing your NEW YEAR motivation. Creating healthy habits is not only important but the KEY to succeeding in your goals. 07.01.2022 HUGE client shout out to Matt Hinchen This morning Matt took 140kg for a ride and made it look like it was nothing! Matt has come from a background of doing large amounts of cardio, a small amount of weights, and viewing exercise as a chore. NOW, Matt does weight training four days a week, hits a step target, AND actually looks forward to his training sessions! These are huge wins I look for when taking on board clients, and helping them get from A to B. Matt is consistent, driven, hard working and always has a smile on his face. Well done mate.
