23.01.2022 Through the UKUFUMA scholarship program, this young man started his nursing diploma in 2016. We are thrilled to see our students reaching their God given potential! ________________________________________ "After my Diploma’s degree I wanted to get a practical insight into how a health department worked in order to decide whether this is an area I would like to work in. Also, I wanted to gather more experience in this field. ... It was an interesting and challenging experiencing. The team at where I was placed was very welcoming and happy to answer any questions I had, and I quickly developed a routine. I was happy that I did a practical, because as I write, I am a happy man as I have been hired by government to work as a nurse. I will be reporting today for my new job in the Northern part of Zambia. I am grateful to the Lord for opening this door and I appreciate Eagles Wings for what they have done in my life. I will cherish this job and use my income to help my family and friends in need."

20.01.2022 Family bike rides this weekend?

17.01.2022 Thank you to everyone riding with Reid for EW Australia today. Ubuntu - I am because TOGETHER WE ARE! I hope Martha's story encourages you to get on your bike, ...whether you're doing a lap of the block with the kids, pushing your toddler on their trike on the footpath, sitting on a stationery bike at home or doing some big ks on the road - EVERY BIT COUNTS! Don't forget to post the donation link on your networks so we can get the funds to where it's needed - https://gf.me/u/x7ivhu ***************** Martha is my name. I am 13 years old. I am in grade five. I have three siblings. My elder sister is 15 and she is in Grade 6 and my two younger brothers are both in grade three. I live with mother and my step father. My father died a long time ago when I was two years old. My step father is a charcoal burner and my mother sells small things at the market that we depend on for a living. I like to be at Eagles Wings. Our school environment is nice. Teachers always encourage us to work extra hard to fulfill our dreams. When I grow up and complete school, I want to go to college of education and become a teacher. When I become a teacher, I will imitate the teachers at Eagles Wings who work tirelessly to ensure that we all get a good education. My mother will be happy if I complete school and become a teacher. She always encourages me to work extra hard while I am at Eagles Wings as it is the best school in our area. She always tells me that I should change the standard of living in the future and that is my daily prayer as I go to school.

17.01.2022 Reid said in his video post last night that he didn't want to stop. This is the reason why... My name is Peter (name changed). I am in grade two at Eagles Wings.... I am eight years old from a family of five. I have three siblings, one brother and two sisters. I live in a small two room house without electricity and we share an outside bathroom with our neighbour. I live with my mother, she is a single mum. My father left us when I was just a small boy and my mother took up the responsibilities. I’ve spent most of my growing up in the hospital because I have an illness called anemia. It’s not easy for my mother, sometimes I feel so sorry for her. She has to take care of my siblings and I and look for food because I need to eat to boost blood production in my body. And sometimes it gets so difficult. When I get sick and go to the hospital there's no one to take care of my siblings. My elder brother who’s twelve then gets to be in charge or my grandmother if she agrees. I’ve always wanted to go to school, but it was not easy with my condition and my mother being the only one to take care of the family without a job. So she decided not to take me to school, she didn’t have money anyway. But I kept on insisting that I wanted to go to school, and then our neighbour told her about Eagles Wings. That’s when she took me there. She explained my condition and everything and I was given a place. I was so happy, but I was a little sacred at the same time thinking that the moment I stay away for too long, they'll kick me out for sure. But that’s not been the case. My teachers are so nice, they keep checking on me in class and they don’t treat me any different. I like that. If I don’t look so good, they call my mother right away. I’m really happy to be at Eagles Wings at school. My mother is less stressed now about things like school tuition, pencils, crayons and books because Eagles Wings takes care of all that. I am so grateful for Eagles Wings for giving an opportunity to me to get an education. When I finish school and go to college, I want to become a very rich doctor so I can help out sick and vulnerable kids like me.

13.01.2022 Whatever happens to Reid's record attempt please help Eagles Wings continue to change young lives in Zambia! Donation link in comments below. (Chan) My name is ...Precious (name changed). I am 10 years old. I am in grade two. I’m the first born in a family of five. Two of my siblings are boys, the other two are girls. I live in Twapia Township. In this compound, everything goes on - there is witchcraft, prostitution, beer drinking, a lot of children do not go to school. My father works for some people in their homes and he earns very little money. My mother is a full time housewife who depends on my father's income. She has done tailoring with Eagles Wings but has no tailoring machine so that she can start up a business to help the family. I want to thank the Almighty God for the opportunity He has given me to be at Eagles Wings Christian School through the vision of Batata Ba Lackson Matolokoshi (Director). Teachers at my school are really serious with work. In year two I am able to read and write with good hand writing. I would like to say thank you even for the support given us in terms of books, pencils, uniforms and a lot more. When I complete school, my ambition is to become a teacher and be able to teach other people’s children like they have done to me. I would like also to help my family so that we can have a better life together.
