24.01.2022 We've never forgot our participants! Today, it is the first time ever for our Engineering Education Program to deliver our educational activity online. We used Zoom to run our mentor meeting for the 5th batch of the internship program. We had 8 participants who were willing to join us to learn about and practice " how to present idea clearly". Participants chose provided topic, presented it and got feedback from peers. Next, the tips of "presenting idea clearly" was taught. Then, once again participants presented their ideas based on peers' feedback and tips.

12.01.2022 Engineering Education Program (EEP) was delighted to collaborate with Neeson Cripps Academy to run a Training of Trainers (tot) of Human Centered Design (HCD), a problem solving tool, to 13 staffs. This diverse group consisted of Leadership supervisor, Teacher team leader, Teacher development officer and teachers. The purpose of this tot is to transfer the knowledge and skill of HCD facilitation from EEP to Nesson Cripps Academy to be capable to organize and run the HCD desig...n workshop with their students and community. On top of that, the staff and teacher at the academy can take various teaching methodologies from the HCD itself to implement in their classrooms. The next step is to look forward to seeing the real practice of them with their students/ peers to strengthen their capacity in delivering the workshop after the tot with us. Stay tuned! This project is supported by Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
10.01.2022 On 25th April, we ran our 2nd mentor meeting with the batch 5th of the internship program virtually. They were asked to vote for the skill they want to improve to better their performance at placements. The " find way to overcome difficulty" and can be called "problem solving skills" received the most votes, so it became the topic of the mentor meeting. They have learnt three components of creative problem solving through peer discussion, sharing experience at placement & assignment at university and case studies. It was really another engaging online learning we've seen since we've started using the method. Stay tune for the 3rd meeting everyone!

05.01.2022 One of EWB's partners, great job!
03.01.2022 Our team and interns worked really hard for the last couple days to accomplished the 4-day soft-skills training. The interns learnt various soft-skills such as self-knowledge, communication, active listening, teamwork, giving feedback, time management, planning tool, tasks prioritization and problem solve for the placement and future career path. This was a practical training which most of the time spent on exercise, case study, discussion, teamwork, pair work and silent thin...king for interns to apply the concepts of the lesson and be able to implement those skills at the placement as well. The interns also learnt from the experience of the EWB alumni as a guest-speaker. As a new interns to a company, there are probably some hesitation to ask questions and give feedback, so in the training, we did feedback session at the end of every training day in a hope that interns familiar with it and take a step up to express their feedback in the right way at their placement and future work. This hasn't ended yet, we'll meet them again for three months starting from August in the mentor meeting. The mentor meeting is more about peer learning and problem solving together after applying those soft-skills at the placement . Stay tuned! Thank to our partner EnergyLab Cambodia and our donor Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
