17.01.2022 Luscious lavender about to be made into moth repellent. The blooms will be laid on wire racks and placed in the greenhouse until dry. The blooms are then shucked like a corn cob and placed in calico bags. Each fibre in the stash has it's own natural month repellent bag. Clothes moths are attracted to the protein in wool so lavender helps confuse the moths scent detectors.

Thankyou to the craftsperson who made this lovely timber bench located outside the Wingham CWA (Country Womens Association), little did they know what a top spot it would be for the knitter in waiting. Happily knitting my chunky handspun alpaca and merino blend for a rustic look shawlette.

Due to Covid all Learn to Spin Workshops and individual tuition is on hold.
