24.01.2022 Got a sneaky pic of the boys participating in morning Pilates. This pose is called the Turtles Finger and dates back to the Chinese Soy era. Ancient notes reveal that this may be the secret to be able to achieve full extension, but this has never been proven. Units 10, 12 and 5 will hold this pose for up to an hour before they commence their daily activities. Afterwards they meet at the local Esso and share açai diesel shakes and other assortments. One is advised to keep this info on the downlow though, because they would pick me up and drop me off in a very tall tree if they knew I was taking a picture of them in this compromising position... 21.01.2022 EWP HIRE's "Gentlemen's Guide To Treehouse Design and Construction (& other ditties)": Step 1. Find a tree. This can be any old tree, but preferably brown, be made almost entirely of timber, and have distinct wood features. Step 2. Doodle an intricate to-scale architectural floor plan of said tree-house on the back of a beer coaster, allowing room for lounge, bar, pool table, dart-board etc. ... Step 3. Immediately thereafter plan, devise and design an Emergency Exit via a flying fox from a rear window of the tree-home in case your significant 'other' tries to find you. Step 4. 19.01.2022 06:05am Thursday morning, somewhere in the wild Pilates time again! We found the EWPs back at it again with their morning routine. This pose is called the elongated basket or in Tibetan the Prancing-Panther-in-tootoo. The EWPs will be in this position for extended periods of time throughout the morning and into the early afternoon, after dinner, just after the evening movie, well into the night, and just before dawn. As you can see, unit 3 is still learning and had not quite perfected the elongated Basket just yet. Apparently this pose helps with joint movement, rotation and operator/unit bonding. The Units look forward to unwinding after holding these poses by going out to the local Amoco where they feast on various brake fluids, degreasers and fuses. Do you need an Elevated Work Platform? He normally has groupies of Mitsubishi Canters following him around back at home, but he likes to make a different impression when he is away. Hell yeah!! Focused??? You bet your life!!! Unit 9 typifies all those things, however, while he may be motivated, he isnt what you would call a talented soccer player. 09.01.2022 Back in the 60s, Cherry Pickers were a big hit in the old westerns, and the biggest hit of them all was good ole Unit 16. (This is an old photo of him). Yep, Unit 16 was as western as a pickup truck filled with cactus! This old guy starred alongside the likes of John the elevated worker Wayne, Slim Pickens (in the industry known as The Operator) and the king of cool/great ewp driver, Steve Watch your Head McQueen! Some of Unit 16s best works include The Great Escape..., where he actually helped McQueen reach the other side of the fence (but that bit was cut out), Bush Cassidy and Tree-Lopping Kid where he played Mo the Bartender, and finally True Grit where he played the part of La Boeuf (which of course is French for 40 metre Elevating Work Platform). Unit 16s best days may be behind him, but Ive got a feeling hes still out there hat tilted low, exhaust smoking, boom itching to extend just waiting to yell Reach! Reach for the sky! Although a few of the boys really do enjoy another Disney movie called frozen from time to time. Nor is this an excerpt from one of the classic cowboy movies unit 16 has starred in. This could however be from the music film clip great southern land by icehouse in which unit 12 filled in as the drummer from time to time. Back in his hay-day he was a prett...y decent musician, touring around the local pubs, playing on rooftops. Sadly he just wasnt the right fit, being a truck and all for a band like Icehouse. This 4 pronged balance move is called the arms of the jubb jubb bird. He may hold this pose for 30-35? Seconds that is. Doesnt want to overdo it. 02.01.2022 Welcome back to Trucks! In the Wild!. After long thirsty days trekking through the harsh reality that is western Queensland, we finally stumbled across this beauty! This bridgus-inspectus blends-in with its natural surroundings much like the ghekko does on the side of a Darwin stubby, or the bright pink shirt with sequins that Rodney wears on a Saturday in a Gold Coast cafe. Sometime later, someone would let Rodney know that pink simply isnt his colour... As you can see, this beast is in full extension but be warned! Any sudden movements will frighten this specimen from its natural habitat and further into camel country. Well-oiled sandshoes and armpits are crucial in stealthily observing this beast.
