Hew attended the NT Business event this week announcing the opening of nominations for this year. ... The awards highlight and enhance the winners’ reputation locally and nationally, as a business that has made an outstanding achievement in helping to grow this important sector. Nominations for the awards close on Tuesday 10 September 2019. The awards will be announced at the AIDN-NT gala dinner in October.

20.01.2022 Photos of the pit and EWP now complete with the roller brake testers and suspension shaker testers at Gambier Earth Movers, SA - Thanks GEM !

19.01.2022 Current installation happening in the south east of South Australia. The new pre-fabricated workshop pit will have an elevating work platform (EWP) and brake testers fitted.

19.01.2022 Great article on Hew in current Trailer Magazine. Good background story on the concept of the workshop pit "lift" or elevating work platform. Drop a question in the comments below if you want to know more!

19.01.2022 Motor Vehicle Registry inspection shed at Truck Central, Berrimah, NT, is now very close to completion. The split platforms over both pits are synced and ready to go. The underground walk-through between the pits is also finished. Official inspection through the facility is tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing it in action!

17.01.2022 Proven durability in the toughest conditions! The elevating work platform in workshop service pits has been put to the test in the mining industry for over 10 years.

17.01.2022 NT MVR's inspection pits with elevating work platforms (EWPs) are progressing well with the aid of the Quick Ally Access Solutions adjustable step up stand! The stand was a very handy win at the Brisbane Truck Show this year - thank you Quick Ally Access Solutions ! The inspection pits are 2.4m deep so some extra height is called for before the EWP's are fitted!

17.01.2022 Visited Mount Isa Mines at the end of January to check over their elevating work platform (EWP). The EWP has been servicing their crew for 5 years now, incident-free! Enjoyed watching the mechanics being able to access the different levels of the undercarriage of their CATs without having to reach or bend in awkward positions during our visit.

16.01.2022 Installation of the Re-deployable Workshop Facility can be achieved in 2 days in the field. Fitted with an elevating work platform (EWP) to the pit for efficiency and safety, these workshop facilities can be custom designed to suit. The facility is especially suited for remote roadwork crews, mining exploration, remote construction and defence exercises..

15.01.2022 The Northern Territory's Vehicle Inspection Facility has been in use for a while now and held an Industry Showcase on 29 June 2020. A short conceptual video on the Truck Central Darwin is below. Our elevating work platforms in the inspection pits appear just after 1min:12secs

13.01.2022 Hew presented the Salvos with a cheque last week on behalf of the winner of EWT survey responses. The winner requested his winnings be donated to the Salvos. Quite a timely donation, as this will be sent to the bushfire appeal.

12.01.2022 Congratulations to the winner of our customer feedback survey, Gary S from Victoria - the voucher will be coming your way! Many thanks to all our customers providing feedback! We received some great responses and comments and truly appreciate your time and efforts. Photo below of Tom drawing the winning name at the Brisbane Truck Show last week (with Claire holding the bowl of entrants' names) .

10.01.2022 Hew has been featured in the Northern Territory Innovation Stories. You can read his story here. The story also includes a video interview with Hew - see link in comments below.

10.01.2022 32m WORKSHOP PITS - The EWP's to these pits are now installed. Difficult to fit the full length of these pits in frame! Both pits have 2 x 16m independently operated platforms fitted, controlled by hand-held remote. The platforms' top position is level with the workshop floor and can be lowered to the base of the pit - . Location: Truck Centre, Perth

08.01.2022 We've been enjoying this YouTube Channel's (iowANFarmer) review on the first EWP installed in the US so thought we should share. EWT America (ewtamerica.com) are the licenced US company for our workshop pit EWP. The company founder, Stephen, had the first EWP installed in his own private shed for testing and demonstrating.

06.01.2022 Looking forward to the opening of the new MVR vehicle inspection facility at Truck Central - end of this month!

05.01.2022 32m WORKSHOP PITS - these are the longest pits we have fitted with Elevating Work Platforms (EWP). Two pits are currently being installed with 2 x 16m independently operated EWP's. Truck Centre installed EWP's in two of the 22m workshop pits in their Port Hedland operation in 2017 (both pits fitted with 2 x 11m independently operated EWPs). The new 26 bay workshop in Forrestfield has been purpose-built for Truck Centre WA to accommodate their Mack, Volvo and UD Dealerships. The drop-in, prefabricated workshop pits were supplied and installed by our EWP licenced agent in WA, Bruce Rock Engineering.

05.01.2022 Enjoyed the Wyndam sea views and breezes while installing 2 new pits with elevating work platforms earlier this year. Photos of the completed project will be available soon!

05.01.2022 Busy at work at Bruce Rock Engineering workshop in Port Hedland. Repairing a 'super-quad' road train trailer is made easier when you can adjust your own height and work at a comfortable level. Notice the depth of the pit in the photo below - the pit lift can be adjusted via the remote control **Note, "pit lift" is aka an elevating work platform (EWP). The workshop utilises the EWP further to position the axle jacking beam (also pictured) in place - another productive use of the EWP - just what we like to see! PS. for those who aren't familiar with a 'super-quad' we have posted an image below too. If you want to learn more on 'super-quads', there is a link in the comments below

02.01.2022 Our current project, the NT Government's new Heavy Vehicle Inspection Facility, is keeping us busy. The new facility will be able to handle up to 2 fully configured quad road trains at a time without the need for trailers to be disconnected. The drive-through shed has 2 x 20 metre long pits connected by an under-floor tunnel. Each pit will be fitted with 2 remote-controlled elevating work platforms. Smaller vehicle will only require the one platform for personnel to be lowered for undercarriage inspections so the pit opening will be shorter (12 metres). Longer vehicles and those with trailers can be accessed using the maximum pit opening using both platforms - and yes both platforms can also be operated in unison). Check back for our next update and photos on the project!

01.01.2022 Looking forward to the Brisbane Truck Show this year 16 - 19 May at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Pop into our display for a chat.
