25.01.2022 So I've gone through some film shot during the preparation stages of Xikan & Elizabeth's wedding... I could see they were both a little bit nervous, but each looked fantastically elegant. I thought I'd share a few previews and talk about the vision behind the approach with these particular shots. During the prep stage I love to shoot (some) black and white film because I feel it conveys a preemptive feeling which is in line with this stage of the day. With some of these, they have been shot, hand developed, cut and scanned by myself with care in each step... which I personally think all contributes retrospectively towards the process from even before the shot is taken. Documenting an important event shouldn't be relegated to lazy habits, whatever method the photographer uses. I'd like to hope my clients agree :-)
