24.01.2022 Our OT Alyce shared this with the team and it resonated with us all

23.01.2022 Fantastic, go and get your free download!

22.01.2022 Breathe it out We love balloon breathing Pretend to grab a balloon, get your little one to ‘choose’ it’s colour and using nice deep breaths blow it up, expanding your hands to demonstrate your balloon getting bigger and bigger. Once its blown up you can pretend to pop it or add it to a big bunch of balloons. We love to play this one in the car on the way to preschool to get rid of those preschool transition nerves. It works a treat! #respiration #calming #pretendplay #regulation

21.01.2022 Who can relate?!

21.01.2022 How cool is this! Round up the kids, print them the instructions and lets get creating. Yet another awesome opportunity to be work on following instructions, pretend play, social skills, fine motor skills, visual motor integration. #everdayskillbuilders #occupationaltherapy #coffsOT

20.01.2022 This afternoon marks the start of the school holidays We challenge you to tick off all 5 activities and in doing so your kiddos will be working on a whole lot of skills #grossmotor #finemotor #sensoryprocessing #socialskills #relationships Go on, give it a go! #occupationaltherapy #paediatrics #coffsharbour #kidstherapy #exceloccupationaltherapy

15.01.2022 Lets be honest, these type of books can drive us crazy when our kiddos constantly push the sound buttons BUT let’s use them to our advantage! Each time your kiddo presses the animal noise, get them to do the animal movement #therapyindisguise #grossmotor #childrenstherapy #occupationaltherapy #development

13.01.2022 Today was our monthly team professional development afternoon. We were so lucky to have Lee Maitz present for us, building on our knowledge of praxis. Thanks Lee! @lee_maitz_ot

11.01.2022 All the yes’s!

09.01.2022 Check out this gorgeous online school holiday series by Coffs By Nature. We can only imagine the benefits this series will have on our local kiddos. Encouraging kids to get outside and connect with nature provides opportunities for our kids to engage in different sensory experiences, move their bodies and play freely.

09.01.2022 Parents, caregivers, Dads, Mums, Snack queens, after school taxi drivers, whoever you are, looking after a little human ain’t easy. We’ve got to keep our cup full to fill the needs of our little ones . #selfcare Today I got through 3 pages of my book and baked and ate cupcakes What can you do to keep your cup full? -Lily

08.01.2022 Every school holidays we take a day to spring clean and reorganise the clinic. Our OT Rach making one of our sensory bins with some hidden treasure for some little hands to sort through and find #sensory #finemotor #occupationaltherapy

04.01.2022 Tummy Time! It helps our littles ones develop the neck and upper body muscles and coordination needed for rolling, crawling, reaching and playing. Tummy time can be started from day one. Start small - 30 secs is better than nothing you can gradually increase time as bub gets more practice! ... Tummy time shouldn’t be distressing or upsetting for bub. There are lots of different positions to practice tummy time. Try Using an exercise ball, laying bub over your knees, laying bub on your chest or propping them up on a rolled towel to get started. #tummytime #ot #happybaby #paediatricot See more
